Millers

Millers expect too much of their staff. 
I like serving and helping customers but the amount of changes and stock you have to deal with impedes on the time you have to help customers. You end up working extra time after your shift that you don’t get paid for to finish off tasks so the next staff member doesn’t have to deal with it. 

This company is not doing well. Clothes are terrible quality meaning customers complain about clothes breaking a lot. We were told we can not do refunds as the company can not afford it. Management is no help and requires us to do overtime with no pay (most are doing at least 5+ hours of unpaid overtime a week). Good if you're in high school or just starting out. Most stores are actually falling apart. We had parts of roof fall in during service MULTIPLE times. Most don't get lunch breaks.

Always under staff, constant vm changes sometimes 3 times a day. U will do a change including mannequins to then be told to redo for new vm again. Waste of time. Lots of stock. Manager does morning shift  staff do afternoon shift. Not many hours to support living expenses.  The work load is for at least 3 people yet only 1 person does it. I do not recommend working here u will be disappointed . Always chasing your pay each week. They only pay bits at a time. Every week its a nightmare

Only stayed for the staff,  I was manager and I ended up so stressed and anxious that I had both mental and physical health issues. 
Head office is never to blame,  you have to do extra unpaid hours to do the work required, pay for things yourself, you have to get approval for petty cash for sticky tape. 
Last straw for me was an email from HO that was pretty much all stores in all centres are to blame,  not us.

I definitely think that I needed more one on one hours to learn how to do everything properly I felt like the training sessions were some what rushed and I was finding it hard to process it all. I think I could have been very good with my supervisor roll at miller's I just needed more training and one on one sessions to to be shown how to do everything properly

Task oriented, overly stressful, expected to stay after hours unpaid to handle the shop and outdated computer systems every shift. Staff turnover is very high. High sales expectations that will not be reached. Managers become rude if you do not perform 1000%. Lower staff are walked over. All about the money. Very upsetting. 

It’s a great company to work for.  
There’s plenty of support, training and updates from all departments..

Always something to do, whether it’s VM changes, unpacking and hanging stock, refilling stock, straightening hangers etc

Management is very long hours extra work not payed for and stressful the on floor with serving customers was the most enjoyable part of it trying to reach unbelievable sales required as we are not in the city

Expect to much from you, expect to work j  your own time without getting paid  no help from management, micro managing from rm constant changing of sales most of the time your working by yourself
