What is the best part of working at the company?
The People are the real assets of the business but aren’t recognised, evaluated or developed to become better or allowed to grow. That’s why the people with talent, IQ, combined with a desire and drive to maximise their potential and get better end up leaving for better opportunities and remuneration. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
There is no Human Resource department for a company with several thousand staff. Nepotism, Low pay, No responsibility or accountability by management and no career path for staff. It’s not what you know, it’s who you know to move up or be given the opportunity to do so. Everyone in supervisory or management roles are only concerned with covering themselves and looking after their own patch. Operating and management systems are archaic with no performance reviews or pay rises for anyone as no one ever gets a review on what they do daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, half yearly or annually. That allows for an environment where Better Business Practices and Quality Assurance and Compliance standards are never implemented, reviewed, maintained or striven for. That allows for a myriad of mistakes that are made every day and never rectified, corrected or addressed to improve the business. This is only the tip of the iceberg. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Poor culture and environment which is a direct reflection from the senior leadership and management team. The culture is Non existent as no-one knows what the company stands for. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Repetitive with no real incentive to strive to be better or  to inspire me and everyone else to aim for and strive for excellence. Everything I do is self motivated, but never recognised, acknowledged, respected or rewarded .

As a casual I get to work at different locations, which I really enjoy.  I don't mind working alone but it's wonderful to work alongside other phlebotomists to share knowledge and skills.  I have met a great group of people to share the work journey with.  My managers trust me to open branches and take clients all day on my own.  Personally love to work in a very busy branch with challenging duties.  I am satisfied with the casual rate of pay.

PROS: Great team, fellow phlebs are wonderful, getting to know and care for patients, varied tasks, depending on where you are located it can be either a relaxed job or fast paced.

CONS: Pay is rubbish, no regular pay rises, management positions rarely come up so there is only room for movement if you have been with the company for MANY years, and the pay increase is not even worth taking the extra responsibility. Upper management treat collectors like second class citizens.

What is the best part of working at the company?
Their training is terrible, their care for customers non-existent. They employ new people constantly instead of focusing on their current employees. There is no team feeling. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Being made to work alone before being fully trained.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
It lacks in all aspects. Absolutely not a good feeling working for this company

The culture here is slackers get rewarded, watch your back and never bring any issues up with management.
People have been put on suspension without pay due to feeling stressed and sitting down to talk to management about it.
People are more than willing to be nice to your face and then talk behind your back.
Stabnd around, talk as much as you want and don't worry about PPE. All you'll get is management mentioning how important it is in the next monthly meeting.

Unreasonable working conditions on many occassins. Unreasonable expectations put on workers. Sometime staff are not given adequate training or constructive feedback  and support.  Also staff are never really given an opportunity to express their opinion or approach senior staff members without them being bias.

chemistry is a great department to work in. the management could be better but personal circumstances are always taken into account when rostering shifts and training is exceptional. it is a really good place to work however it is mainly lab assistance with not much room to progress and the pay is not very good.

I’ve had a great experience here. I’ve found myself supported by my managers around my family commitments and have been able to advance within the company within only a few years. The pay for the whole industry is appalling but MP is at the higher end comparatively. Love my team mates and still enjoy the job.

Great training everyone is trained the same such an organized company with high technical computer tracking of specimens.  Have a help desk to ring for support and any thing you're unsure of.  Other pathology companies are a disgrace to work for Melbourne pathology runs rings around other pathology companies 

The excellent Manager who is a supportive and understanding boss. it is a fast pace to work, but the stuff normally is very helpful, some of those are very funny, happy environment. also, have a good attractive salary. I also obtain and learnt a lot from the Doctor referral and made a lot of friends
