Answering calls nearly everyday not much time to talk to other staff 
processing claims and doing other activity it was fun to work.

I learnt a lot of things one was how to handle an aggressive caller and many more things. Staff came from many different background and we all respected each other.

The hard part was to leave my job as it was evening shift and I need to be home for my son at night time.

The most enjoyable part of my job was working with a great team leader and staff members who were so kind and caring and help full and we worked as a family and always achieved our daily targets.

Medicare is a workplace that provides work life balance. Customers and their support are important to Medicare. Training is provided via online learning. Staff are respectful to clients and each other.

Having worked there for over 11 years I enjoyed my time there and was very lucky to have some great bosses over that time. It was never a problem to have time off with sick children which as a single mother that was important. I would recommend anyone to work there and see that people actually do work within the government. Looking forward to moving forward with new employment.

If you have ever contacted Medicare for assistance you know the process is unnecessarily stressful and complicated. Working there is no different with the added stress of management culture that is indifferent and as a result induces mental health issues with their employees. The only people that Medicare treats worse than the general public are the frontline workers.

Developed communication skill, cash handling and learned Medicare payment systems. Management was very hard and tough but the co-workers were nice and friendly. There was nothing hard to mention, I enjoyed the customers. I achieved several written complements from the customers.

Busy role working for Medicare as a Customer Service Officer answering calls on the IME Enquiry line receiving approximately 150 calls per day from pharmacists and hospital staff requesting patients Medicare and or DVA card numbers.

Working in a fast paced environment and a great team culture. Management are very supportive and engage with staff. The work is challenging and rewarding.

The Management teams tried to proactive at all times. Divisional Managers took their roles seriously, but had the ability to not take themselves as people, too seriously.

This is a fast paced ever changing environment. I found it to be very emotional taxing after the co-location into Centrelink. Staff are fabulous, management is lacking.

You're just a number. Theres no respect or flexibility. Stagnant systems and processes. Management have been in place too long. Not paid enough for the politics.
