Applied for job and about a week later (after the interview), I had a job offer took about 8 working day from start ,to letter of offer, that's faster processing than some labor hire companies. In hindsight I should have seen this as a major red flag, but anyway. 

Once I started I noticed that every single placement consultant was less than 3 months in the job, I asked management about this but they seemed to use generic lies like "Oh we recently promoted all our PC's to management roles due to upscaling", this was later found to be a straight up lie. Honestly, I blame myself for not noticing how many times on Indeed and Seek the role is constantly advertised (and still is to this day).

The job as a placement consultant (PC), was tiring mentally and very very stressful, KPI's were unrealistic and unreachable, as other have said in this review section you get treated badly by management once the honeymoon period wears off. I took a paycut when I started the job but I was assured that "you'll get that 1k monthly bonus if you work hard so don't worry", but as stated before, the upper management sets those KPI's to just unreachable so you'll always just fall just short of your targets and received verbal and written harassment from management as a result. if you hit 80% KPI in a month, you can bet your week's wage that management will set your KPI higher next month. 

Cold calling random employers from google or the phone book was a big part of the role, most of the time it was difficult and pointless. It's worth mentioning because you'll be a cold calling monkey A LOT while working for them. 

I felt very unsafe during working hours and could never truly be sure that I wasn't going to witness another serious assault in the office that day, due to working with the mentally ill, drug addicts, people convicted of things like: Assault, armed robbery, child molestation, drug trafficking, ect, just to name a few. There was NO security at all besides cameras, and with an open plan office, any angry job seeker could easily jab you with a knife if they decided you annoyed them with your centerlink mandated job search meetings. Police were in our office every other week. The managers were the only ones who were lucky enough to have an office with their backs to the wall, and for good reason, sadly the "disposable" PC's weren't so lucky.
 
Benefits were poor, while it wasn't a hassle to get time off, you were still expected to hit your sales numbers even if you were off sick in hospital for a week (another horrible thing I personally witnessed with another PC). The starting pay is about the same as your average retail worker, but with higher stress and expectations. Yes there are alleged bonus's but in my time working there I never once saw a PC receive one, or even get close to receiving one. 

I personally witnessed management stalk customers online so they could find where they worked, I saw them call their employers for info on the jobseekers, despite not gaining consent and it being completely illegal to do so. This was for no other reason than to bump up numbers to get more government contracts. I saw managers tell me to "exit" customer from their system because they were too much work to get a job. I saw disabled jobseekers forced to enter study and debt they had no understanding of by just so we could get an "education placement." Which by no surprise, equaled more funding and contracts for them.

Without disclosing too much personal info about me, my employment ended abruptly and with zero notice. They said the contact HR for questions and after a letter on my desk, I was quickly wisked out of the office into their car park all in a space of about 3-5 minutes. I saw this exact tactic used on other staff as well. I'm not surprised either, when you go through serval PC's in the space of 6 month's I'd assume you'd get very good at firing employees with minimal fuss. 

 I would have never applied there knowing what I know now, sadly they don't really have much info about the exact role other than broad definitions online. Personally I would have paid to read a proper review like this, an I just hope I can help at least one person know what they're truly getting themselves into. 

If you're looking for a sales or admin based role, you could do much better than this company. I could easily go on, but it's getting late here.

I don't understand how an employment organisation can hire a staff member that they wanted to train with little experience, then belittle there every move and sack them after the second month. 
after they were concerned about there clients, wanted to help them achieve there goals but when it didn't suit the company being OUTCOME eligible Aka no money from says government, They sack a hard worker who was there early and stayed late and often worked in there lunch break, Sacked determent worker and belittled because worker wanted YES wanted to work instead of comply to gossip in the workplace. 

Issue a formal warning to staff after staff member almost got stabbed by client because they didn't handle there policy properly. In to referring to client being one who don't show to appointments and was not working 

Hypocritical mistakes made my management, but blaming that staff member for these instead as an easy way to make there team turn on them. Unorganized management who forget they started at the bottom themselves once.

Overall mental health because of this organisation is at an all time low. Worst company unsure how staff can do this when they are supposed to be helping the general well being of there own clients  but if it doesn't   benefit them by an outcome your not supposed to go above and out to help better someone.

Understand this, this company is all about profit. It is NOT a Not For Profit organisation so don't expect to put the people you service ahead of the KPI's. Team meeting are brutal if you happen to not reach your targets a particular week. Expect a verbal dressing down in front of the team when that happens. I'm not the only one it happened to. 
Management treat you like garbage. They are under the gun too, but still they have the ability to be human if they try. The environment in the office is toxic and full of stress. Push people into anything rather than work through their barriers is the mentality. 
There ARE other companies within the industry who can manage KPI's AND the welfare and respect of the client. This company is NOT that one. 
Choose another company who actually wants to help clients and provide them with dignity. If you know this industry and how it works, youd understand what I'm saying here. This isn't out of spite. This is really an opportunity to give you an insight into this place and hopefully help you make a choice that gives you a rewarding career that's lasting.

Dealt with Max Solution recruitment team for a job as a client service consultant. It's was honestly one of the most delayed lengthy processes I've gone through. Whenever I will call the recruiter he will not be reachable and I had left multiple messages and none we returned til later in the week. I missed a call and I call straight back but went straight to message bank I tried again and kept trying until I just gave up calling back. Throughout the whole process I was never able to call and speak to the recruiter directly as he was always busy and could never get him on the phone unless he calls me. I was successful in obtaining and interview but then after that i had to begin ringing him about my application and if it succeeded though to the next stage all my phone calls were unanswered and multiple messages left. I waited almost two weeks to get the bad news that I wasn't successful.

I used to be on Centrelink while I was at University and had to attend Max employment appointments. Every 3 months I would have a new consultant come in and take over. I got the vibe there no communication between staff, staff are over worked and short staffed and people don't last very long in the role.

Also, when I did get a graduate role my consultant would harass my new employer. Max Solutions get paid bonuses for how long you remain in your new role. Def not Not For Profit as someone previously mentioned. 

I also went for a job interview at max employment city location (despite a bad feeling about working for them). This was the worst interview experience as my interview was at 2PM and the interviewer tells me to sit and she will be with me in a moment, so I sit and wait, 3.30 comes around she still hasn't interviewed me, I walked out and didn't look back. Dodged a bullet there.

Poor professional working culture.
Poor training.

The clients and Employment Staff (ES) and Health Office (HO) you work with in various sites are great (to a point if they dont see you undermining their KPI).
In the end, I work for the various vulnerable clients, identifying barriers and helping them to overcome these with the ES and HO.

The Health management team has poor skills in actual management and only look at figures and not clinical abilities.

Honestly, the employment industry is in self destruction mode and MAX are in the firing line most due to their conflict of interest within ES (Max Employment) and HO (Maximus Health Services).

This place works better for you if you are great with admin stuff and a fast learner.  Supportive management most of the time, but you got follow the performance guideline to ensure what you are doing lines up with the company's best interest.

It is possible to line the interest of the company up with the clients' interest (job seekers), you just got work smart around it and use the government framework right so that it leads to a win-win situation for every one involved.

Some say it is stressful. But I like it (having said that, I have no family/caring responsibility and prefer to work in a placement with some sort of pressure)

Great environment where everyone works together to achieve the results. Management is supportive and motivating. The work itself can be difficult but rewarding and with the team I have has each others back. Management works hard to provide training and growth within the company and there are rewards for those who put in the extra effort. The best part of the job would be supporting the jobseekers after they start work and seeing how employment really can change lives

* Under Staffed
* Under paid
* Lack of transparency during interview and hiring regarding KPIs and bonuses gone.
* KPIs  is unreasonable considering caseload complexity. 
* Aligned with the 'any job will do' attitude over upskilling, autonomy and building careers. At the end of the day it is a business not a not-for-profit.
* Hidden toxic culture so watch your back, your co-workers are not your friends. Not all sites are like this.

The best part is helping make a difference in a person's life by them realizing there dreams even if it is a longer journey for some.
