Manpower

A steady work time frame with co-workers from around the Dunedoo region and towns. We usually do variable work around the region. This involves watering plants, setting traps, digging up and removing noxious weeds, surveying the landscape of its vegetation and animals (birds and tree differences at different areas).
We gain knowledge about how to use equipment such as the knapsack through using it personally and understanding how to apply the chemical ratios to its contents. We also learned about different methods for removing pest fauna and flora. For example catching the Indian minor birds involve placing food in a small cage that has a no exit design and that their natural instinct to fly up will herd them into a con-joined bigger cage allowing for certain trapping. The most enjoyable time is when we see results from our activities, for example being able to capture and remove all feral birds and trees. The hardest part of the work is being able to physically dig out the bigger feral trees, such as Olive trees. The time between what needs to be done and when is balanced very well and we often get what we need done before the day is finished.

Have run down on everything that needs to be done that day.
Wait for permits to be approved and sign onto them and start work.
Assist plumbers wherever I am needed and clean up if none require any help at the time.
I have learnt many things about the mines and it was a great experience working with the Plumbers and working on the Mine site itself.
i learnt how the Smelter works and how to fix busted/old pipes, how the Bosch's work. i know how to disconnect pipes from jackets and how to label them.
The Plumbers i was assisting were great and they helped me to have a great time and taught me a lot about how the Smelter works and what our job was to do.
hardest part of the job was when we were unable to do anything for certain periods of time for we were waiting on permits to be approved.
The most enjoyable part was when we were working hard and I was learning all different types on things and ways to do stuff.

Arrive ready for work, focus in body,soul and spirit.
Work starts always being aware of things happening around me.
Stops for lunch which is very much enjoyed. Focus and working smart knowing that time to go home is just around the corner.
Finish off at 3pm, going home feeling content after a good day at work. Departs with a smile and byes from friends and fellow workers.
Learn skills that come your way. Management and workers form a team that makes things happen. Co workers need to be friends, care and share in order for a healthy and productive workplace.The hardest part of the job is remaining focus at work and keeping up with the task. The most enjoyable part of the job is feeling satisfied and the feeling of self worth.

No day typical. 3 different work places. 1. peeling pears, apples or capsicums in production line. 2. desk hand at printing firm.
3. inspecting imperfections on wine bottle tops.
I learned that standing in one place for 8 hours & during the same repetitive movements hurts, & can in time become boring.
In all places I worked with a variety of nationalities which is very interesting & was the most enjoyable part of the jobs.

I never had a bad experience with the staff, they always found me work.
I also worked under manpower in Canberra and was placed in a government job.
People need to realise that they are a recruitment agency and work for the companies they send you too.
You start as casual in every job until or if you are contracted by the employer.
You need to imply yourself at every job you are given , its up to the company if they want to employ you not manpower's .
I never had any issues pay is award or if lucky above and overtime (depending on the companies work structure) was always paid on time.
Do they right thing by them they will upon you in finding you work.

I worked for Manpower in Newcastle for 1 year, starting 2014.  The only reason i left was due to relocation.  They did offer me a transfer but the commute form my new home to the new office would be too much for me.

I worked as part of the Recruitment team.  I completed telephone interviews and booked face to face interviews for various UK wide campaigns.

I was always respected and praised or the hard work that i did and felt comfortable approaching any manager within the Centre if i had questions.

The office is brand new and facilities are fantastic - new computers for everyone in the office.

Having started the job amidst the Covid-19 Pandemic, training was cut from two weeks to just one (all paid). This meant although you could achieve the basics, answering calls handling calls and working the very slow systems there were major gaps in knowledge when it came down to specifics. After about the second week it was generally frowned upon to ask questions that were not accessible from the hard to navigate systems. Despite the drawbacks working for Manpower DFR was a great experience when you got to talk to the candidates and your colleagues. Just don't expect a great explanation when they don't extend your contact

Having worked for Manpower for 2 years as part of the Manpower Out of Hours service, i would love to recommend them.

The new, modern facilities are based in Newcastle City Centre which is great for access via public transport and local car parking facilities.

One of the great things about working here is the fact that they develop from within.  We attend bespoke quarterly training sessions and are regularly mentored by our line managers.  

We are all valued as individuals as well as a team and it makes the whole environment very positive.  The Moral within the whole office is great.

Fun and enjoyable days depending on what I'm doing.

Ive learned how to better myself in a team, communication skills and respect for others ect.

Manpower is a job agency that offers fast work but is usually only short term temporary work.

Ive worked with all types of people and know how to get along and work.

The hardest part to get around is knowing that its only temp work as some of the work that i took would have been something that id enjoy for time to come but is only short term.

I enjoy most work i do because i know how to.

This role required many skill sets, recruitment, vehicles, warehouse sites, tooling, training & creation of account for the ongoing of the business. This was a very hands on in setting up & recruitment of the right staff with the right skill sets for the roles was imperative. My co-workers were extremely supportive going over & above board to get the sites operational. The main draw back was miscommunication with senior staff in required tasks expected.
