You start at 7am cleaning and chamoing the cars for 2 and a half hours with a 15mins morning tea break.
Then after a paid 30minute break you get into a car designated to you and you just stick to that lane (there are 5 Auction lanes). So you get in your car start it up and wait ages in a real slow moving queue before driving through a crowd of people and being very cituationaly aware. Then you exit the lane by merging into one lane with other lane exiting drivers. It's all very slow past the other lanes and curtious with mirrors placed so the passing car can see down the Auction Lane. Then you simply drive out of the Auction Lanes and go to the relevant Lotting up area and park the car throw the keys in a bucket and get driven by mini-bus back to the next car for four hours without a break and the last hour of it really drags so you finish at 2pm most times later. Once you get familiar with the job it's pretty cruisy 

A typical day at work consisted of preparations for upcoming auctions, assisting potential buyers and making sure the company is running smoothly by doing my job to the best of my potential. Through my experience I learnt a great deal about cars and greatly enhanced by computer and customer service skills. 
Management was always supportive and helpful wherever necessary and the co-workers, couldn't ask to work with nicer more charismatic people. 
The hardest part of the job was making sure the customers, insurance companies and RTA were 100% satisfied. 
The most enjoyable part of the job was meeting and satisfying new customers needs and working in such a supportive environment with close relationships.

I spent years with this company i was constantly asked to assist managing projects and sales for multiple states (was never offered extra money for this). The high ups are dishonest and explosive. Horrible place to work, there is allways someone trying to take your spot and this behaviour is in fact encouraged by management. 

Terrible pay, No overtime. No one can live off under $600 a week. I did get many opportunities to move forward in other positions. And was able to help out in other aspects of the industry so most days where different to the next. I found some of the employees there where nasty, judgemental, negative and toxic.

Very fun and exciting work place that provide adequate support and tools to perform your duties. Good work life balance and a few perks such as discounted offers.

Enjoyable experience. I was able to advance to supervisor position. Support was always given by management. Company itself greedy and asked a lot. How ever individuals at all levels made it a good place to work. Wages needed to be raised.

No lunch on Auction day make you work longer hours with very little breaks and when injury yourself they say goodbye. Great variety of cars to drive

Great management, poor culture, great job acceptable wage.  loved the work and the majority of the people that I worked with, just a shame the management was unable to curb the people culture there.

left for relocation I gave two weeks notice as I was casual and I was leaving from Brisbane and relocating to Tasmania and there was no positions in Hobart so I have to resign.
