Typical day at work will include participating in various roles in workplace e.g. vacuum, wash pad, detail and polish etc.

Learned a variety of ways on how to polish and detail vehicles.

The management staff were good but not the best, they didn't really provide any job opportunities to work on rainy/cloudy days as the job is weather dependent i.e. bad weather = hardly any hours of work.

Co-workers were always very supportive and welcoming, everyone treated each other with equal amounts of respect. Never had any issues with my colleagues.

The hardest part of the job was working on days where there were no breaks due to the workplace being really busy with non-stop customer traffic. 

The most enjoyable part of the job was getting increase hourly salary rate on Sundays, and just pay day in general.

This job had no security as I was regularly called in for a full shift but was sent home after maybe 2 hours if the work slowed down. Was infuriating as it barely made the commute worth it. Pay was the lowest they could legally provide per hour. Management were useless and penny pinching, regularly got shorted a few hours on every payslip. Only good thing about this job is there were a few good people there. No benefits and the facilities on-site for workers were laughable. 

A typical day at work would be to come in and greet everyone who are already working. Then either work on vacuums or interior designing along with many other. Sometimes the manager would come and work with us if he wasn't doing paperwork. Co-workers were exceptionally friendly, always laughing. The hardest part of the job would be language barriers, as most of them were foreigners from South East Asia.

I was hired as a Detailer, but being new guy none of the regular staff wanted to listen to my ideas on making the end result abit better.  Job Security was a issue, it rains and you can’t car wash you don’t get paid. Had one Employer expect me to buff cars in the rain with power cords and no roof to prevent car from getting wet. Ended up working and refused to pay Super so I looked for a more stable job.

Magic Hand Carwash is a great place to work. The shift managers really care about doing the job right and giving the customer the best service possible whilst ensuring the wellbeing of the driveway workers. I feel really taken care of in my job at Magic Hand Carwash, and the work hours are super flexible to match my busy lifestyle. Would absolutely recommend working for Magic, great work culture and great people!

Might depend on which location but i was lucky to have a very easy-going manager who would be considerate of my uni studies and give me shifts accordingly. 

A fun job but you will scrub some very dirty carpets and seats in cars as well as wash and scrub bugs and mud off cars in the heat, Quality was always checked by managers so there was no overlooking anything

I have completed my five-year plus in the magic hand car wash as It was my second home after home. it is hard to leave the job where you love the most. But overall was a great experience and learnt a lot which I think no one can forget. 5star to the company Would look forward to work again if I will get an opportunity in the future.

Stable roster with plenty of long hours, generally entire day when it's busy
Managers are mostly flexible and forgiving and are very open to taking time off if needed

Good for holiday work, or part-time




Nothing good to say about this job except it is easy work, the boss harasses particular people he doesn’t like and allows others to eat clocked on while he also eats McDonalds clocked on, stupid business with a lot of drama and conflict 

Hours are never constant too they will send part time home early

No matter how many hours you are working each day during the week, there will always be someone in the team to lend a helping hand and provide plenty of information about their experience when it comes to a particular task assigned.
