Like any organisation, it is the people who make it.  Macquarie Telecom has some of the most dedicated people with whom I have ever worked.

It is an ideal size (staff of about 450) for anyone to "make a difference".  It is also small enough for your day to be different from one day to the next.

The Executive team are a bit tired, and they lack the skills to effectively communicate, but there is a vision and there is passion - you just need to look for it.

Pros -  Sydney CBD location. Work from home option.
Cons - Management doesn't respect workers. Mockery and humiliation is common by managers. Work is always stressful and you will be running on toes all the time. No official remuneration for after hour work and there are lot of after hours.. No career growth, no proper processes.. Escalation is common every now and then. Internal movements depends upon favoritism. Salaries are not market competitive too. Although people are from different cultural backgrounds but you rarely see any cultural event there.

I was lucky enough to be employed as the project manager for the company's rebrand.
It was a huge learning curve after working in the media for so many years.
I would describe the project as fast-paced and collaborative with great access to executives as well as other highly-skilled team members.
The best part of my time at Macquarie Telecom Group was working with the many different teams and their customer-centric approach to business.

Results driven culture backed by high level of collaboration amongst cross functional teams. 

Its a an environment where you are continually challenged to think outside the box to resolve issues and create customer satisfaction.

Mac Tel was a great learning experience.  If you were in the "in" crowd, you got to go overseas, attend training and have access to the CEO.  

If you weren't in favour, it would have been very de-motivating.  I enjoyed my time there despite having little respect for my direct manager.  Good people, and good possibilities.

Incompetent managers from the leadership team, staff were overworked and abused, no work life balance, no training, no development, no structured program, high turn over rate, lack of communication between staff and management, terrible work culture, underpaid

Assist to field engineers to install the routers on customer site and configure Juniper PE and Cisco CE routers as per order and test the service with customer.
Trouble-shoot on services built previously but not functioning as per customer's order.
Prepare the pre-builds for next orders.

Help Desk Duties face to face, Remotely, over the phone. Provisioning of Mobile Devices, laptops and set up a work station, helping with daily issues with email, O365 Suites, Printer and hardware and software in general. Administration role in Active Directory.

Only hold on to friends and not talent. They only employ people who do not want to challenge them. 
They have no systems or structure , systems are created in the fly.
