The rank and file of the head office in Wagga Wagga are lovely, but the franchisees make performing day to day work difficult - I understand that the Wagga centre works for them, but sometimes they seem to forget that there are other franchises that need us as well and the delays they can create with certain things. 

The pay and the hours are not something I felt was fair. During their peak periods, you can be asked to work for 10-12 hours a day, 6 days a week. Admittedly, you only have to work 6-8 months of the year, which can suit some but it didn't suit me (I did think it would when I accepted the job, but it turns out it didn't work for me). 

I feel there is a big issue on the management side and the executives seem to forget that the rank and file in the Wagga centre are the ones that keep the business going, and they focus on keeping the franchisees happy. This has accidentally bred a toxic culture where rules and boundaries are constantly changed to keep the franchisees happy and inevitably not conducive to good business practices. 

I did make some lovely friends there, who I have kept in touch with since leaving the job. The site in Wagga is great to work in (a full kitchen, bathrooms with showers, a small gym and kids room).

Could be a much better place to work if the Franchise owner didn't constantly play the blame game and provided equal opportunities for all staff instead of only promoting his son.

I worked a lot of 12 hour days, including weekends with no break, never received any overtime payment or time in lieu, and no meal allowances. After several years of working there and going through a bad relationship breakdown I asked for unpaid leave (even though I had more than enough annual leave available) so I could travel for 6 weeks and get back on track to being happy and healthy. I worked hard in order to get a large chunk of my work done for that period so it wasn't a burden on others but I was told to choose between my holiday and my job, then they attempted to blackmail me into resigning (which I refused to do because I didn't want to quit my job). They ended up hiring somebody else to replace me while I was still there. Also refused to give me a reference.

Co-workers constantly gossip and backstab each other, not a very nice team environment.

The only good thing about the job was the 5 weeks annual leave.

Did not get many work hours, work often irregular but well-paid 
Nice people and atmosphere but very rarely get feedback on your work 
Often long days, can be hard to balance alongside other commitments as you never know at what time the day will end 

I don't recommend working here as victimisation and blame occurred daily.

Promises were made but never fulfilled.

Co-workers constantly gossip and undermine other workers.

The most enjoyable part of the job was the gym.

The employment was stable however

The team was absolutely fantastic, very supportive and understanding. Manager was absolutely the best. The position itself was a bit tricky at first, but the training and support received definitely helped alot

Awesome facility, with excellent equipment.

Friendly staff with quite a few benefits including onsite gym, massive kitchen and performance bonuses.

Good place to work if you put the effort in.



I worked for MSP for 5 years and learnt a lot. I was able to work as part of a close knit team as well as on my own. The work culture was fun, every day was different which was a nice challenge.

The boss was an excellent trainer and boss.
The job was enjoyable and the staff were an excellent team.
I have learnt a lot whilst employed by MSP Photography and those skills will stay with me forever.

A great place for flexible photography work, the staff really care for their workers and value mental health. Hours can be long put the work is fast paced enough to make it feel like less 

Not good for personal progression as there are limited higher positions.
Good for job security.
Good if you like school holidays off work.
Every day is predictable and not varied.
