Poor work culture, top-heavy appearance-obsessed and self-preserving management. The executive team is assembled based on diversity targets, rather than merit. Commitments made to the staff are not honored, resulting in high voluntary turnover and constant hiring. There is low job security due to regular restructures aimed at saving costs and offsetting falling sales. It is disheartening to witness instances where capable individuals are made redundant within weeks or months of joining the company. Don't make the same mistake I did, don't Join MLC Life. There is nothing left of the company it once was. 

The workplace is wainderful to work in.
The support from the management team is excellent.
The Brisbane office is deminishing and there are few opportunities for growth and development.

Pay is mediocre.

Staffed by good people with genuine care for the customers.

Career development is there if you know the right people.

Usual office clicks.

Archaic systems that takes a lot of time away from the actual work of assessing claims.

It has a solid team members and helping each other when needed. There are a lot to learn in the team such as operational management where we could improve ourselves in term of individual and as a whole team.

It has been great to work with MLC Life insurance for the last 7 years. It has allowed me to develop great skills in training, coaching and business development. I was supported by a good management team.

I am usually great with competitions as long as they were healthy. A few gossiping and traps to set you out if you do not fit into the team culture. Work life balance is dependent on the team you are with.

Non-existent support for leaders at all levels. Basics regarding leadership, performance management, frameworks, strategy etc. are not in place. Some good people but there is no capital for investment.

The work is great and the people are fantastic! I really enjoyed the variety of projects and the genuine drive to help to customer.

I love the people in my team. everyone is very supportive and approachable. The work I do is very complex and the job is very challenging. I learnt a lot from the job and keep learning.

Work  there for last 5 months. The workplace culture is very ill-organized. Non supportive management. Very un realistic timelines with no proper planning.
