Poor Management and using out of date machines that constantly break down, as had trouble getting parts as they were so old.
Machines were about 15000 cycles past their use by date and did not even have adjustable sinks as no money was used to improve the area.
They did install new drying cabinets 2 and a half years ago but never followed it up with new machines to process the scopes with pass throughs which meant we had to connect and disconnect the scopes 5 times to complete the process with 6 connections per scope with an average of 35 to 40 scopes per shift which was taking its toll on my hands.
Was sick of being pressured to get scopes ready for procedure when machine was failing in the middle or right near the end of the cycle.
many times, when you work past your time you either did not get paid right or got time in Lew.
When you got time in Lew for example if you worked an hour past your time it supposed to be time and a half meaning 90 mins, but you would only get 60 mins.

I have really enjoyed my time at the Lyell McEwin Hospital. I have learnt that there is much more to a pharmacy then entering in prescriptions. I have loved getting to work in different areas such as imprest, which is where we go out to the wards and stock up their medication cupboards, completing invoices and doing stocktakes. We have recently gotten a new Pharmacy Director which has been fantastic he has fit in really well with everything and is really approachable and friendly. Many changes have come into play, all of which are positive and makes us all strive to reach a higher goal. The hardest part of the day is getting up so early to go to work. When ever work gets challenging other work colleges come in to help. It really is a fantastic place to work.

What is the best part of working at the company?
Good Pay.  Friendly staff members (For the most part)

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Supervisors often have favourites,  favourites given plumb jobs, often those being full time positions.   

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Usually friendly, but a few people made working there difficult with clicky groups sticking together, also some people were outright troublemakers. Supervisors slow to sort out any problems.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
I liked working there.  The pace was fast and the job structured.  I found if you just got on with the job at hand the day passed quickly.

What is the best part of working at the company?
Family friendly worked 22 years there

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Having a manager not very qualified In handling people and support workers in the department 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
When I left low morale was very bad

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Busy and always something to do

I had done some volunteer work . Before but nothing was as rewarding as this, I enjoyed helping people,and in doing this job, I ran in to a rep for vista windows, told me of a position I actually called made an appointment for interview and got the job..rewards plus volunteer work rewarding,exciting, forfilling.

A typical day was heavy workload, never seemed to be enough time to give complete care.
Co- workers made the difficult working conditions all the easier, a great group of people working under stressful conditions.
The long stretches of consecutive shifts were very hard.
Most enjoable part of the job, working weekends, these always seemed calmer and more relaxed.

serving staff, patients and visitors 
Most of the other workers were great and one was not so nice

Getting to know your co-workers

I really enjoyed my time here, it was a good work environment with good people who only want what is best for people, I enjoyed helping patients and there families and also being a helpful part of our community

Throughout the time worked here, I enjoyed it the majority of the time. Unfortunately there were no contracts available when mine expired.

Works in ED and am always learning new things and working as a team. Enjoy the fun unity and great work culture.  Hardest part is saying goodbye to such a great team.
