Most days are busy. Customers, in general, are amicable and like the customer service (as opposed to the larger chain stores' "do it yourself" attitude) My store manager is dynamic and efficient: all staff are show every aspect of in-store operations (merchandising etc.) Morale is great, as all staff interact extremely well. The hardest part is attempting to squeeze a lot of stock into a small area and being frustrated by not receiving enough of the stock needed. Also feel that the hierarchy of the company may care about maintaining good morale in suburban stores, the regional areas are forgotten. (functions and training are always held in the capital cities, not alternating between capital cities and regional areas)

The most enjoyable part of the job is the interaction with customers...and we have the best!!!

They like to sneek up on you to try to catch you doing something wrong. They always would tell us what we were doing wrong and never when we did do something good. I did however learn some things that I never knew before. As far as my co-workers, well I got along with most of them . Most of them were hard workers but we did have a few lazy ones and those seemed to be the ones they kept around. Hardest part of the job was dealing the managers and the work load that they put on you. Working with my co-workers, especially my headcashiers, they were wonderful.

- A typical day at work was unpredictable, never knowing what could be in store for the day.
- The company was able to teach me the ways of running the stores and management skills, leading me to become 3rd in charge.
- I quite enjoyed working with the employees at Lowes, all were easy to work with and very friendly.
- One of the most challenging parts of the job would have to be dealing with difficult customers. In most case scenarios the situations were dealt with quickly and in a respectable manner.
- I really enjoyed the fact that I was able to have a friendly working environment with all staff and customers were happy when first walking into the store.

My work at lowes was rewarding i  enjoyed the working environment i had great customer relations and had friendly working persons relatationships  i had flexible working hours overall salary was very reasonable  I felt compfortable in the presence of my Bosses i enjoyed that i got to learn as i worked, as stated i loved my customer based personal clientale that i had and to give and recieve satisfaction.which was based on feedback via work of mounth and store surveys.

daily, weekly,monthly checklist, reviewed overages and shortage on the register, safety meetings, manager meetings, CCTV review for shrink and safety incidents, trained managers to customer service associates on policies and procedures.  Enjoined building relationships with co-workers in multiple stores.  Hardest part of my job was finding an issue, reporting it to management and getting them to corrected it.  Most enjoyably was making a difference with safety and shrink culture with the associates.

i worked at lowes for around 11 months it was a great place to work with staff discounts and great people to work with i had the same manager for most of the employment and had no problems until we had a change the new manager was hard to get along with and i had no end of personal problems at the time we clashed heads and i parted ways not long after this was more a personal choice i was not fired and a believe if i had stayed i would still be happily working there today.

My first time employed with Lowes was in 2008. I was made feel very welcomed and had wonderful support and training.
I chose to leave Lowes for other opportunities but everytime I left I always came back and was welcomed with open arms.
Working as part of team is very important and the environment you work in is one that is fun and supportive.

You have to do all the work while the manager walks around acting like they have paper work to do when you know they don't. I feel they are promoting men only into the managers postitions. A lot of managers are lazy and take the credit when things are great but blame everyone when they are in trouble. The staff and great and the company is ok. I enjoy retail but I would love to work in female clothes stores or jewelery stores.

As i am only able to work on Saturdays i don't really know what the rest of the week is like. While working here i have learnt a lot such as fitting someone for a suit, or helping with the banking. The manager is great and fun to work with, as well as my co-workers. The hardest part of the job is having to deal with angry customers, however it evens out as you always have those regular customers or even some new ones who are absolutely lovey and understand how hard it can be at times.

Being the only retail store where we are required to wear a tie is quite awkward. Otherwise, nice people, collegues and managers to work for being fair but firm making sure you are always on task. It can get very boring as some days almost nobody will walk into the store and when someone does they are usually 'just browsing'. In saying that it is fun to sell items to people and especially help them when they need it.
