What is the best part of working at the company?
Opportunities and exposure if a range of significant projects 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Very toxic and male chauvinistic environment. Bad political influences on operations and delivery. Lack of policies and procedures or lack of following and implementing them.  Hiring not based on merits but favouritism and politics. Procurement of consultants questionable

Toxic and a lot of back stabbing. Political games

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Planning delivery of large scale optical sensitive projects

Definitely the worst place I’ve worked for talking badly about everyone, back stabbing, snitching & management are hopeless.
It’s a very easy going job so if you like to work this isn’t for you.
Work 0500am until 1430pm but everyone in the waste department would be finished there run by 9am.
I have worked for local councils & government departments before but by far Liverpool City Council is a disgrace, management have no idea and couldn’t run a lemonade stand let alone a waste department.
It’s not like the old days where it was hard to get a start on the council, nowadays anyone can because of the massive turn over rate due to the politics 

This was a busy demanding role.  I learned a lot about local government and how politics at the local level affect the local community.

Management varied over the years, I worked with 6 General Managers in 12 years.

My co-oworkers were the best team ever.

Hardest part of the role was the demanding nature and industrial culture of the organisation (however, I loved it)

The team I worked with made the job enjoyable

Union said: Rely on what Management is actually doing rather than what is being said even if it is in writing.

Generally good facilities.

Generally responsive to identified WHS issues

Very toxic leadership that you cnanot trust. There are some good Managers/Employees but the majority are not

I was treated as a hostile in the last few days of my job just because I decided to resign and move with my career
I was not allowed into the bulding, all my access was revoked for no reason

Computerised based workplace with many offices and desks.I learnt the true meaning of hard and serious work.I was managing the computer softwares.Most difficult thing about the job was its very long hours. However incentives and approval rate was high.

Need to be more organize, a couple of staff members are friendly but not all. Management needs more improvement, and also be alot more competent in what they do. Otherwise overall it is a great bunch to work with.

a typical day would be servicing 2-3 cars or ride on lawn mowers. i had learned quite a bit about light vehicles as i had never worked on them previously. my co-workers were always available to offer assistance when nesessary.

I was doing my job experience and following volunteering in Liverpool City Council IT Department. I was happy to work there because I was using all my knowledge and experience in that field.
My colleagues were very friendly and helpful.
