generally a typical day at work is usually busy with paperwork, emails, new promos and signge, but, most important is the customers and the service given to them to achieve the best sales possible.
upper management is generally ok (when they are in a good mood) and co workers are a wonderful bunch of people..
hardest part of the job is when you get an unhappy customer and then working on making them happy again!!!

Sold brand name and they asset stripped the company.
closed all UK shops warehouses and made everyone redundant.
Who ever owns The company started giving things free in the national newspapers while giving out redundancies the day before also started a Barbour range of clothing under the Laura Ashley name


Refused to pay me after working 6 weeks straight. 10 hours a,day and over time. They abuse people for busy times and just get rid off people. No notice just on the day. Terrible attitude in this axe and awful racism. Have informed the police on the way they do things with the foreigners there.

High pressure with minimal training, unsociable hours and minimum wage pay. 

Management are competent but unapproachable, some supervisors going so far as to threaten employees. If you disclose any health problems to your manager prepare to be berated and called a liar.

As a Manager the challenge was to consistently maintain sales

•	Providing highly effective staff supervision, training and rostering

•	Meeting or exceeding sales targets and key performance indicators

•	Ensuring a high level of work health and safety is available to all employees

I enjoyed my time at Laura Ashley. The environment is relaxed and friendly, and lunch breaks are a reasonable length. The people there are very friendly, and I never had any bad experiences with customers, either. Overall, a very positive experience!

Iv never know such a horrible place to work. Lots of backstabbing from management. Dissaplin for having a day off when a flood at home. Ridiculous company to work for

If your face fits , management are just a bunch of bullies . Most of the staff are uneducated trolls , and for some reason they think they are superior , can't think why because they are all CHAVS !!!

Busy office and daily contact with Customer services and the warehouse staff.

Excellent working environment in the office and the Manager good to work with.

Laura is the place I have had the most fun out of any jobs I have had. The staff are all love family, beautiful products and customers that make you feel fulfilled when helping them design their homes.
