The day used to start with setting up the list of priority for projects which was ongoing. Usually, 3-4 projects were always on floor out of planned 36 projects. Learned to manage the large scale projects spread across 
Victoria which was the first experience in Australia. Learned dynamics of stake holder management, managing the multiple suppliers for the project,  setting up standards for the facility requirements. Working along with the directors of the organisation the culture was always stiff and formal. The hardest part was to assess the management requirements and establishing standards. Fun part was to interact with the end user teams when the project used to get finished and handed over to the staff. A great feeling to see them smiling and beaming with awe when the used to enter the newly constructed offices.

As a former employee I was given some real responsibility also a management role when required. I was retrenched after 4 years employment when the business lost support from the Victorian Health Dept.
The role was given to a person with no experience who became the manager of that department, this person made it plain that my experience would cause conflict the person asked that I be retrenched if the role was to go forward.
Out of 400 staff 250 were retrenched and several programmed departments closed.
I have no doubt that the business employs women over men especially management roles which their right but mainly because the business is a Heath and Community related. The Corporate Managers are all women at that time.


Given a list of patients for the day - access the computer and review previous visits and possible needs
Ensure you have enough supplies for the days visits
Using company car drive to each clients home and complete the visit required
Management, co-worker and office staff are very supportive
Hardest part - contacting the patients local doctors after hours if necessary... on the very odd occasion! 
Trying to locate where a patient lives, especially in isolated towns can be difficult,  (had to use personal phone, google maps).
The one-on-one time with patients without other patient needing you is great. You can develop a rapport with patients. Patients tend to be very thankful!

This role of Fleet Manager with a semi government business I enjoyed , I held this role for 4 years, and was retrenched due to government cut backs in the funding.
I managed the complete fleet of business vehicles, including buses, the purchasing and disposal, fuel account, Contracts,

My co workers where great to work with, 

The hardest part of the job was when they decided to retrench 200 workers and role had to be taken up by staff who had no experience and where not qualified to the role(s)

Don't expect to know how to do the job, training is read SOPs, and magically know everything and how to be good at the job, management do not know how to motivate or guide staff only chastise them for not hitting targets. Incompetent team leaders. Strong favouritism. Husband and Wife work in same office. In the past, was a family of 3 people. 

Started off well but ended terribly.

Pathetic new Team leader at OEM who came in telling staff off rather than support them to do their job.
The management is the worst I have seen in my career.
They pressurize staff to keep their jobs. 
Employees are not heard. 
Unrealistic expectations.
Subtle threats with regards to KPIs are given to new staff who don't understand the process.

a pleasure to work for. Great staff, great patients, and a good work-life balance

at times the pressures to meet targets can be an issue - this is not often though

poor leadership and management of the HR division

poor within the Hr division was very clicky and had lots of issues with poor communication

involved in the work lots of IR/ER issues

Prepare for mental health issues when working in Warrnambool.
Management is awful and expectations are not reasonable nor achievable.
Non flexible environment, not allowed to work from home.
Staff turnover is extraordinary high and they don’t care why you leave.
Complaints about management get thrown under the rug.
Your only a number not a valued employee.


Rapidly Changing Workplace for an ICT enviroment.
Some parts of the working culture left a lot to be desired.
Overall the staff of the company were very easy to get on with
and are very appreciative of any help extended to them
but there were always the few individuals who were not.
