A Typical Day/Evening at Labourpower entailed Turning up to ANZ stadium were we signed on and received our uniform and radio for the night. depending on what the event was and the capacity of the stadium was determined were I was sent to do either RSA marshaling or bar work. the majority of the time I was allocated to do RSA Marshaling, my co-workers were an excellent support network as we were all connected through our radio pieces. if at any time I felt in danger or needed back up I only had to radio in for help and it would be there straight away and vice versa I was quick in back up or support when needed.
I have learnt valuable skills in this job, one main one would be conflict resolution also crowd control and how to deal with intoxicated people correctly and safely. 
The most enjoyable part of this job was the atmosphere of being at the events I would not have gone to otherwise like the 2014 grand final and the Bon Jovi concert.
The hardest part of the job would have been the verbal abuse we sometimes got.
Management was excellent from the ANZ staff and most events ran smoothly.

I was hired as a casual Recruitment Resourcer and later encouraged to sign a full-time probationary contract, which reduced my pay by almost $10/hour. I consistently completed all tasks, including finding candidates, assisting with last minute client requests, agreed to take on extra duties after an account manager resigned (with no added pay) and always asking if anything else needed to be done.

Despite this, I was abruptly dismissed during probation, one month before Christmas, making it nearly impossible to find alternative work. The stated reason was “unsatisfactory performance,” which was deeply unsettling as it did not reflect my effort or work performance.

The dismissal was coldly handled by HR, with the branch manager absent during the meeting and after I left the room. This manager could be very rude, even clicking fingers in my face on one occasion, and staff often made unprofessional comments. The office culture is presented as informal and encouraging, but adapting to it was cited as an issue.

I would not recommend this workplace to anyone, especially for young, determined people, as the office is predominantly over 40 and the probation contract carries significant risks.

They gave me good experience but there were constant issues with paying me and other workers correctly which were in the hundreds. When politely reminding them about the pay they would just say that payroll is useless and that they would sort it out . Many jobs for filling in sick leavers for their clients I was promised $32 p/h, I would then work there for two weeks 8 hours per day and be paid just $24 p/h and they would say that they ment $24 not $32. Most people I worked with though were good workers but would say that they were promised full time permanence after 6 - 12 months but we’re working under labourpower for 5+ years with the same company.

Rude staff who never return your calls, When you go into the office they are sitting there having conversations amongst themselves and using foul language,They pay you late underpay or in some cases I've heard not pay you at all, They will have you working with people who are not up for the job (slow workers ,bludgers, low or no work ethic) and when you make a complaint about it you are classed as a whinger, They have their own crews and pick and choose who they want at sites, There are better agencies out there than this mob, Better going to an agency that treats you with  dignity and respect and knows you want to work rather than one that picks and chooses you as they feel and one that pays you on a Wednesday rather than  a Friday

1 or 2 shifts per week, 3 if you're lucky. They must have hundreds of casual workers on their book, thus there aren't enough shifts for everyone.

Beware! They didn't pay me superannuation because they had treated me as a contractor (someone who has an  ABN and has to pay his own supper) even though I signed up with them as a casual worker. I didn't know this until I got my PAYG notice from them at the end of financial year.  Since I worked at their client's (Pinnacle bakery in Altona North) for 2 months only I didn't bother sorting out the superannuation they owe me. I'm not happy about this though.

Treating a casual worker as a contractor to get out of paying superannuation is really DODGY.

These guys obviously have lots of clients and what they will do is throw you everywhere. You won't have ongoing job unless you have connections. They dont care about your situation and will just call you anytime with short notice for available shift. Worse is they wont pay you the right amount of wage you're supposed to. And in unlucky, they wouldnt pay you for a work you did even if you call them so many times, they will always say they're fixing it but they just wont pay you because "apparently", their client didnt submit the timesheet just like what they did to me, smh

Working at Labourpower has given me the opportunity to enjoy flexibility in my work schedule which has been invaluable. The flexibility has not only allowed me to care for my two young children but has also significantly contributed to my productivity and engagement in my position. I have consistently felt supported by my manager, colleagues and senior management. The open lines of communication have made me feel valued as an employee and provided me with the confidence to take on any new challenge and grow both personally and professionally.

Not professional, not personable, only interested in their clients not their employees. Take forever to do anything or get anything out of them and then they expect YOU to fly through their recruitment process and quite literally do all the hard work to please their client. Empty promises and lip service. Avoid or make sure you use them only for your own personal gain for temporary employment and run as soon as you can - there is no loyalty in this business, they treat it as cut throat and have no interest at all in Human Resources Management or people, just the dollar value on your head. 

In the induction they told me everything I wanted to hear, but when actually working there it was the polar opposite of everything I was told. Tried to suck me in from the get-go, started work there under misleading information about the job that was provided to by them. 
Wages were not paid to me at all during the course of my employment, even when getting a FairWork representative to make contact - they didn't even make contact with them or paid me!
They ignore all emails, stress that you're only a number and have a horrible work ethos. 
Don't waste your time with these clowns!

Got sent to Vinidex as an LO operator months ago and was told an incorrect pay rate by them.
I worked there for 4 weeks and did everything correctly.
Then I got the (not required) phone call and they attempted to send me to another client for much less money again.
I took other work offered by Action Workforce which is also a total joke of an agency.
I won't be working for this mob in this lifetime or the next.
Don't expect them to answer the phone if you have any issues.
