I worked for Loreal for many years as a permanent employee. I had a work related injury and my position was terminated after they withdrew my duties, but I didn’t get termination letter until over 8 months later. They don’t look after staff to prevent injuries. Many people get injured but don’t speak up because they don’t want to lose their job. 
Heaps of shoulder injuries, carpal tunnel etc. Loreal were not rotating their staff to minimise risk of injury, as this wasted valuable working time and affected KPIs. They go on about ethics but have double standards. Manager said monkeys can do our job. Low morale amongst workers but some nice people I worked with who I miss. I was called Loreal Liability and inconvenience by the union deligate. Anyone there who was on workcover gets talked about and everyone finds out everything. Backstabbing environment. Nothing gets kept confidential. It’s all about KPIs and money now. Some staff stood around doing hardly anything whilst others got taken into the office and picked on about their pick rates. 
They talked about cross training staff but refused to put me in other areas that didn’t aggravate my injury. They looked after their favourite staff though. 
Money hungry company doesn’t deserve good, honest, hard working people...because I’m worth it.
I still hear their products are tested on animals too.

My time with the company was short, however it is evident that all individuals prioritise their work and still share mutually beneficial relationships with each other.  I learned to use Microsoft Excel and other web databases.  I was also able to share my knowledge of social media networks and create tools for web content.  The hardest part of my job at first was working independently with little knowledge of the company tools, however the employees were very friendly and asking them questions was no problem, in essence, I felt comfortable with the other employees.  The most enjoyable part was writing up policies and procedures, making presentations and then communicating this to other employees and collecting customer feedback.

Some really great people on the shop floor but everyone looks miserable, staff are treated like idiots even sent to breaks by a bell. Follow  growing list of made up rules or  be dragged into the office. Unrealistic KPI's,constant pressure. tight working conditions that are often over crowded due to poor communication, planning and management. Could be sent home after 4 hrs or pressured to work 10. Management like to put on a show for visiting guest. The culture is horrible due to management pitting staff against each other, bullying those that are deemed to " not have the Loreal culture" and threatening or terminating for minimal made up offences, such as talking then allowing others to have 1hr personal calls daily or break all of the rules repeatedly with no repercussions at all.

Start at 6 and finshed at 12 Somthing for they weret that busy would start at 6 and knock at 10 and depends on if its busy..

L'Oreal nurtures it's staff through their management program and encourages advancement through great results. There is a definite lean towards work as opposed to life balance and you really need to be passionate about sales as opposed to the product you are selling which can be difficult as a creative person. Best part of my job was learning and embodying the Japanese art of service. The hardest part was personality management of the team. I learned that every person on this planet has something amazing and beautiful to share with others if you ask the right questions and listen without judgement.

The job being advertised for a retail makeup artist is funny considering you definitely never do any makeovers on anyone working here. Your entirety of your shift is purely standing at the front of your counter - sometimes even relocated somewhere else in the shopping center - and made to hand out perfume sprayed on cards. YES, you become that annoying person in the middle of busy shopping centers. On the times you actually DO get to work on counter the only thing close to makeup you get to do is a quick foundation match.

Kerastase was a good place to work. 
I learnt a great deal about dealing with other luxury branded salons in the industry and how powerful and iconic Kerastase was in the marketplace. 
I found the workplace culture to be very good and management looked after us as a team very well. 
My direct line manager at the time offered great support to me.
The most enjoyable part of the job was being treated to quality experiences and team events always included French dining. 
We were treated in the same way that they expected us to treat our own clients.

Everyday was a busy day in the Quality Laboratory, testing finished products and releasing them for sale as well as extensive testing of packing components which had to meet the high standards set by Loreal.  Keeping computer records up to date and managing the rework or rejection of finished goods and components was challenging but enjoyable.  Management was hands-on and very supportive. The most enjoyable part of the job was when all components and finished goods were in specification.

Typical day at work would be picking orders and staging them. Did learn different things while there, but it took a lot of time to progress. Management don't listen to your ideas and are unreasonable at times. Workplace culture can be toxic at times. Hardest part of job is there WMS, doesn't work properly. I'd say the most enjoyable part of job, was forming some good relationships on the floor.

good payrate and hard work is recognised, great working facilities and your healthy and saftey is paramount.

Only casual positions so hours can vary, while also being laid off without warning

Very positive, everyone is friendly and helpful. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Easy work, pick packing loading onto conveyors. 
Easiest pick system I’ve ever used.
