Where do I even start?!! Absolutely no regard for staff ranked any lower than doctors. Overbooked and uncontrolled lists (and I'm very good with time management). Terrible staff culture which seems almost irreversible. Every idea introduced by administration (who don't have medical backgrounds by the way) is either short-sighted, blatantly unfair or had an ulterior motive. No interest in staff education and professional development - only room for staff who are basically experienced and willing to be stretched to the limit in questionable and under-supported conditions. Sorry to say but this was the most miserable time of my career, took a real toll on my sanity and health. I would never even allow for a family member to be admitted here because I know how unprepared these facilities and management are should things go wrong, only a matter of time! Healthscope are losing staff to better and more realistic hospitals for a very good reason! Patient and staff safety should always, always prevail - this is unfortunately not part of their vision

What is the best part of working at the company?
Very supportive team at the ward level and administration too.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Pulling to other clinical areas like Emergency department to fill the short staffing.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
multi-cultural and very supportive

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Days are normally busy with workload including admissions, transfers, etc.

Colleagues are there to help one another and plenty of resources available- but it is an extremely fast paced environment with lots of junior staff and minimal senior staff. Very rarely able to take meal breaks due to the fast pace, high patient demand and turnover (and I consider myself very good with time management and task prioritising).

Work experience in the sterilizing department. Not paid obviously therefore cannot comment further on anything else. Although management could get along better. Communication i definitely the key to success and exaptance too!

No support from managers, all staff over worked and underpaid..no meal break, or tea breaks on a daily basis, overbooked lists from surgeons, means they expect you to do overtime every day, you are made to feel guilty for going home on time.........

Management hire a friends for vacancy even they are not qualified they just want to intimidated you and controls you , it happened specially in the the Victoria clinic in Melbourne, so pathetic to be a staff members there in 2019 under that GM

I work as a casual but have been promised permanent hours in the past to be then told that they do not have any shifts for me leaving me out of work for months. But the job and environment itself is very good. Management isn't the best

A typical day at work would involve visiting different nations and attending to their needs, I learnt how to approach different patients and staff which also boosted my confidence levels a lot.

I came to realize that proper training and understanding is a big factor to solve work related issues and can be applied to our normal day to day life situation.

I really enjoyed working at the Knox Hospital.  I was given the opportunity to broaden my knowledge and my immediate manager was very suportive of my growth.
