Keturah Day Spa

I highly recommend not to work at Keturah under no circumstances. The only thing they think about is how much money they make and their profit. They don’t care about your health at all. Friendly environment is a dream and you never experience it. You might asked to work just for a couple of hours a day and it’s not worth it. The other thing is if there’s any gap between your clients appointments they send you home and reschedule your last appointment to not to pay you. The salons are all old and they need huge maintenance. You are always under pressure for doing more and selling more. They don’t communicate with you instead spying on you. Do not work here it will be a horrible experience!

Working at Keturah it was always busy but well functioning. Working in a team environment where everyone looked out for each other and if you really needed help there would be at least one person around wiling to give you a hand and vice versa. Our Spa Coordinator was firm but fair and always looked after the team to make sure we had enough clients to keep us busy but not too much to have us snowed under. The pace of the salon was a trickiest thing about the job and the mount of pressure that was felt. The team and the clients made it enjoyable.

I loved working at Keturah. I learnt lots of different skills and products. I would open the salon at 8.30 am and set up 8 rooms, work as a therapist and receptioist close the salon at 5.30pm. I worked five days a week with long hours on thursday, friday and saturday. We could not take known holidays off as this was a very busy time of year. The Day spa had four salons across Western Australia that were owned by husband and wife. I loved this as it was not a franchisee and an exceptional  experience had to be kept across the board.

working I worked at Carine clinic as casual therapist. I enjoyed the job, but the working hours weren't guaranteed. I needed stability. I learned about Keturah spa treatment. Staffs and teamwork was good.
The hardest part, that someday I have 8 clients a day and other day I only had 1-2 clients. The most enjoyable part of the job in this industry in general was when I saw clients happy with the service and appreciated the treatment I gave them.

First of all we are told to re-use robes, slippers and blankets (flipping them around) for clients. Sorry for all of the clients who may read this; your robe was probably worn by 30+ others!
Management was a joke, giving you hours to work and then texting a half an hour beforehand to tell you to stay at home.
Hours weren’t great. You were either busy as can be or else go in for 3 hours and back home. On a long Thursday you may have a 4 hour break WITHOUT pay.

Refused to pay me for training,
Was expected to come in and set up rooms 15 mins before hand and not get paid, was told when I had to start but never gave me a finish time, had to pay near $100 for a uniform they never supplied for me , short hours , very low pay, management rude, very high staff turnover, not allowed to take sick days even when truly sick, absolutely abominable , avoid at all costs . 


It's never a hard days work when you love what you do.  Flexible workplace and I felt very appreciated.  Team always happy to help each other. Sales target in place which i strived to but every job has that now.    Wonderful team of people.

Terrible management/ employers, do not take care of staff well whatsoever. 
Ridiculous targets set for sales and services and expect you to come in before shifts to set up rooms etc  
Avoid at all costs
