Great pay. Good living conditions & meals. Poor direct supervision, poor accountability, poor administration, ALOT of 'in-house' politics, a lot of supervision/management who are more than happy for you to do their job, and than take the credit for what you did, trying to get supervision/management to make a decision was extremely difficult.
Co-workers were good & made the best of a poor situation.
The best part of my job was handing in my notice of resignation.
The hardest part of the job was dealing with supervision/management on a daily basis.

I worked in a team of about 40 employees from trades people, trade assistants, Supervisors and Superintendants.

We had a tight nit group who all did their best to watch over each other and corresponded well with management daily.

The hardest part of the job was being away from home for 4 weeks at a time in the soaring heat but as far as work and colleagues went it would be hard to find a fault.

Definitely working alongside my colleagues and meeting new people was the most enjoyable part of the job.

I worked for KENTZ for about three years as an electrician on the Oil & Gas construction site in Darwin. I would say, this company is the best company so far I have worked for. Good rate, good culture, respect workers, no tolerant to work abuse. lifestyle is not that good though. Long work hours guaranteed good weekly pay but are really bad for the family.

At Kentz limited, I worked as a project engineer trainee. I helped the engineers with reviewing the site drawing and visit the job site to make sure all the works was done in accordance with drawings and job requirements. I spent about 3 months working in this company and I learned a lot of things such as reviewing the drawings, job requirement.

A very good company with good management. Although working in Australia, there were a lot of Irish working for an Ireland based company. Director was very particular on the nationality of who he hired.

Communication from senior management not the best but had opportunity to learn new skills eg: QA. Colleagues were helpful with information and camaraderie was good. Hardest part of the job was the heat and humidity the most enjoyable part was having Sundays off.

Management failed to see the difficulties workers were facing in trying to o their work. flights, rosters, lack of material and direction and a culture where if you try to speak about the problems employees would normally be taken off site

All the workers I have worked with here at Kentz are all quality people.
I have advanced within the Kentz organisation to leading hand/supervisor.
I was offered the full supervisor role, but for some reason this role is lesser paid and was not as secure.

A high level of bully culture from management down. Advancement of position or learning was very heavily favoured towards who you know, not what you knew. Inductions indicated that you were allowed to stop a job if it looked unsafe. But, it may well affect your job security if you did.

Probably the worst employer on the planet. Absolute grubby Irish mob who look after their own mates who don't know their left hand from their right. Working in a hole like Darwin didn't help either. 
Stay away from this company if you value yourself.
