What is the best part of working at the company?
They had a great teamwork environment, everything was done safely.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Never knowing if we had a contract to continue working from one swing to the next.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
The work environment was relaxed, with a no rush policy, but the culture was as an employee you were just another number.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
6 am prestart, job delegation, paperwork for 2-3 hours then start whichever task you had been assigned, followed by lots of micromanagement.

The structure of the workshop team was changed when I came on board. It became client based and each major client was serviced by a Manager. My client had a small Maintenance Budget and limited Capital Budget for upgrades. This made it difficult to get extra work from the client and made my job of bringing in work to the workshop very challenging. I had some successes, however the income from the work carried out did not meet expectations and made my position untenable.

biggest bunch of unorganized people I've ever worked for, stand around most days doing nothing as they don't plan days out and never pay you on time especially around Christmas, took until after new years to be paid for all the work done before and after the Christmas period

1. A typical day would start with a pre-start meeting. After you would be assigned a job to complete wether it be fabricating or a repeat.
2. Talking with clients about up coming jobs/work gave me grate people skills.
3. Kempe offered me the leading hand position managing 6-7 people.
4. My co-workers where some of my best friends kempe was like family.
5. Working as a welder/boilermaker is hot at the best of times. working in 40 degree heat.

No idea what I would be doing on a day to day, the management structure is terrible. Everyone from the sales teams, to the fitters in the workshop were unhappy about anything and everything. 
The feeling i got was that the management was hand picked by the directors whom they were pally with. Made for a very toxic environment. 



Job site left a lot to be desired, Dirty, smelly, hot, no lift had to carry heavy tools and equipment up many flights of stairs.
Workplace culture was to get the plant back up and running with as little time lost as possible with little regard to our health and well being at times.

I would prefer to continue my development with Kempe. The company has help me develop as a person and a professional in a positive and challenging environment.
Unfortunately, I would like to move closer to my family in Ireland and seeking opportunities in UK & Ireland

I spent most of my time with Kempe working in a donga wkth my supervisor and a few other employees coming in and out during the day, I had training in Geelong and support from the Geelong office. Enjoyed my time working with them.

They put in as much as you put in.
You do what you are payed to do and they are always willing to help you and look after you. This was a project construction job so the biggest dissapointment which is not the company at fault is that projects come to an end. Great experience

Construction & fabrication.  Organising jobs and reading plans.  Supervising staff as requred.  Driving back from construction sites in Melbourne after a long day was the hardest.  The most enjoyable part was completing my job.
