This company suffers from chronic issues that make it a difficult and unhealthy place to work. Leadership is largely absent, offering little direction or support. The culture is toxic, defined by a pervasive blame mentality where mistakes are not viewed as opportunities to learn but rather as chances to shift responsibility - especially by Managers who rarely hold themselves accountable.

Bullying behaviour is either ignored or subtly enabled, leaving employees feeling unsupported and undervalued. Long working hours are the norm, with little regard for work-life balance, and there is a constant expectation to be available beyond reasonable limits. Double standards by Managers are commonplace.

Employee input is routinely dismissed, with ideas and feedback falling on deaf ears. Innovation is stifled, and morale is low. What is reported to staff from surveys is not the reality.

Overall, this is an environment that prioritises control and appearances over genuine leadership, collaboration, and employee wellbeing.

KPMG has a very high reputation in the world. Sydney office has recently adapted Agile work environment where no one has their own desk (choose your desk on the floor everyday). Very flexible work environment with lovely staff, my typical day at work goes with troubleshooting all the issues and fulfilling all needs of around 240 employees of Sydney Audit & Financial services department of the firm. 
I have learned lot of Admin tasks including spreading out weekly basis reports, announcing for good news or social activity meetings, troubleshooting timesheets related issues, allocating lockers, looking after stationary, collecting new employees and introducing them to the staff etc. I have also improved my organisational skills.
All departments' management are so accurate, rapid fast and understandable, co-workers are so supportive and always willing to help.
There was no such a hardest part of the job.
I believe all social events occur within the firm would be the most enjoyable part of the job in which you get the chance being social and friendly with your co-workers. And of course the company provides you the freedom and flexibility.

From the day I first started at KPMG, I have had ongoing issues with various access to programs and specific data points, which I was assured was supposed to be sorted out once I had signed my contract the week earlier. I have been there for months now, and still have ongoing issues with access and am reprimanded for not inputting the data when I don't have the access to be able to do that in the first place. I have constantly contacted IT and managers trying to sort everything out, but get brushed off and told it has been put on the backburner for someone else to sort out. Staff who have started after me have had any issues they raised sorted within a few days, but it has been months for me and nothing. 

Did not give me the opportunity to shadow and learn but rather threw me to the deep side of pool and expecting me to perform. This is in spite of saying that I have not done this type of work in my previous jobs.

Excepted me to develop all the documents, take notes of workshops, solve all the issues, and managers will review and be critical of your work and find faults and use that evidence to give bad review. All Directors and managers were hired from the same consultancy place and so were a close group.

Was not happy at all and left as soon as I found a place where they appreciated my experience and gave me the space and support to grow.

Will never go back.

A typical day at work included lunch together as a team, and managers checking in on a basis that suits both you and them. I learnt a lot as a vacationer in the Tech Risk and Cyber team, including what it would be like to work as a graduate in the company, as well as how easy it is to climb up the ranks. The workplace culture is very supportive and the company allows flexible working hours, which is helpful if you have children and need to warp your work day around them. The hardest part of the job would be reaching out to managers and people around you for them to give you work if you're not already on an engagement.

All my corporate experience comes from KPMG.  I learned technical skills from project management, risk management, IT audit, process improvement, client and stakeholder management.  I also learned soft skills including people management, coaching and mentoring staff, time management, prioritisation, working with different cultures and geographical locations.

Management were supportive and rewarded hard work. 
Co workers were intelligent and collegial.

I enjoyed the travel and team atmosphere.  
The hardest part was the long hours and competitiveness of peers.

Management don’t practice what they preach.  Many partners are not competent as business managers and are dismissive of those with more experience, knowledge or ability - will avoid making decisions.  
Claims to be big on diversity and inclusiveness. Really only apples If you are a minority group.  Promotion to manager and above is base on gender, colour and personal background and not performance. 
In 25 years of high performance and acknowledge by others as one of the best they have ever worked for, I have never been so excluded and dismissed for suggesting innovative and new approaches.

- Good for university graduates who have no other work experience and want a 3-year crash course on the corporate struggle.
- Variety of clients and industries to work with.
- Opportunity to manage fairly quickly.

Cons
- Low-quality training.
- Horrible hours and worse pay.
- Majority of managers are poor at project management and worse at leadership.
- Division starts to notice you only after you have your CA and get job offers outside the firm.
- Strong culture of playing internal politics and favoritism.
- High employee turnover gets demoralizing.

Typical consultant environment as in depending on the service line you are in you will wear many hats but not necessarily the "hat" you want to wear. They are making a shift to try to deliver more IT solutions rather than providing consulting services. Something that was disappointing was how some higher level staff would overload lower staff and at times quite unreasonably. Consulting isn't for everyone so I wouldn't say it's "bad" it just depends on what you like. It can be quite cut throat in regards to their staff turn over so I didn't see the job security aspect. 

• Uploading new and pre-existing contracts into the contract management tool. 
• Supported the procurement team with internal and supplier correspondence, including running simple negotiations with suppliers 
• Responsible for running of spend reporting in SAP - Vendor reporting, Docshare and EMS 
• Supported 3 SRM – Supplier Relationship Reviews 
• Performed administrative tasks for procurement team.
