A supportive network and a great company culture. Lots of encouragement from other team members in the state with constant interaction and celebrations for big and small wins. Base wage plus penalties and bonuses but this all adds up and is very achievable, I have worked for a number of brands and this was the highest paying retail manager wage I have had. Work life balance isn’t the greatest with a Wed-Sun roster for managers but that’s retail life, you win some you lose some but the weekend penalties make it worth your while. Great customer base and great fashion forward options for a market that is very limited for larger sizes. This company is about constant improvement and evolving to make the customer experience as amazing as possible so they really take on feedback and it was amazing to see them constantly implementing new ideas, better fashion, higher quality etc 

Management was barely there, really typical giving instructions and goals that weren't always reachable but front end staff and direct supervisors/store managers were a lot more realistic and down to earth. Wasnt there for long enough to comment on growth opportunities. 
Bonus' were hard to achieve as at the time were only given for ridiculously big sales. 
Rates were average for the work, lots of down time between customers. Big 'time to lean time to clean' attitudes 

I enjoyed my interaction with the customers and some of my work colleagues. Award wages are supplemented with commission (some co-workes will steal your sales) and if you don't mind the hard sell you will make alright money.
I did find that working at Johnny Bigg was like being back in high school and those that work hard are overlooked for those that like to gossip with management. All in all it's just a retail job with RAG wear.

Friendly staff.Very helpful. FLEXIBLE  with hours.

Vm day. Visual Merchandising. 
Not too stressful,just alot to do.

Opening up.Till count. Check messages. Open doors.
Put music on.Check shop is tidy and clean.Do any ordes that have come in.Serve customers with a smile

A typical day at work would tend to involve evening shifts (I was a casual), in which two of the four core staff (myself, my manager and two other casuals)  would be in attendance. 

This job is a learning experience, not for the products themselves, although one does need to be able to know what they are selling, but for the customer service and interactions. 



Promises made, not kept. Untrustworthy people. A do anything to achieve sales type environment, including manipulation, taking sales from your own work colleagues, back stabbing, from all levels of management. May as well be in a school playground. 
Customers always lovely making the job bearable, and a couple of awesome colleagues I was lucky enough to work with.

You do get some good bonuses for crosses and certain sales but you are often met with a shortage of staff or limited to help you. They excpect work previously done by 2/3 people to be done by 1 within the same amount of time. Often there is talk of profession but is met with false promises.

I have previously worked here for 7 months and loved it!!! Great team environment very friendly ongoing support from head office as well as the managers. Definitely a great place to work you all the training you need and a positive environment for a work place which is very important. Can be very fast pace but your acknowledgement of hard work is awarded. 

The best thing about this company are the friends I made. 
Management was horrible, it felt very high school “he said she said” environment. 
They would take shifts off people for underperforming on a 3 hour shift.
