Relentless targets,  unreasonable customers.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Autocratic soliciting the views of only a few. Working environment is good with superb facilities

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
ultimately trying to achieve targets and metrics and all that entails such as managing, reviewing, critiqueing, motivating etc. The goal is to generate more income than expenses in a day.

Management are Useless and can be genuinely horrible.  Always ready to pick out when you’ve done wrong but Never ever ready to show any appreciation. Higher managers been told over and over the same issues but turn a complete blind eye to them. Staff can be very unprofessional and rude. So many people have left for the same reason/ problem. As a company generally speaking okay- but the way is run is so questionable. 

As someone who wants to be an engineer later in life, this job definitely helps you find a path into that career as it gives you a slight insight into the motoring world. Pay is good and also the holiday entitlement is good also. Training felt very rushed as I was sitting and observing the first week then chucked in to do it myself the second week but all in all a good place to work

My time working here was pretty painful. Management are bullies who do not respect you as a person. No emotion towards anything, get moaned at for anything & everything yet anything you excel at, seems to get ignored. Do not work here unless you want to become depressed!!
I liked the people I worked along with but awful management.
Pay was reasonable but absolutely not worth the stress.

Working here has good facilities, good people, customers will be customers but all colleagues and staff are diamonds. 

I would recommend this place to work. The Directors are all approachable and will listen to you. The management are also very helpful and the pay is fair as well. 

Well done John Grose. A great example of a company done right that looks after it's employees.

Everyone I met at John Grose was friendly and there was a nice working atmosphere. I worked here for work experience and it was enjoyable. Whilst working here I learned about the workshop, the call centre, front desk, the part department and warehouse. I also learned about the showroom and insurance on the vehicles.

THE worst company I've ever worked for.....management is a joke... HR manager is useless, do not listen to there employees whatsoever... You will only get far if you kiss up to the management. 
Awful pay, awful condition, awful company!

I have worked at John Grose for over 10 years.
It’s full of great, hard working people. They have shown great understand and flexibility as a working mum, and I have been offered opportunities during my time there to progress my role to a management level. 


Very good place to start your career. They offer many opportunities for young people with not a lot of experience. Unfortunately gets let down by poor treatment and communication by certain parts of management. 

If your face fits, your fine. Management is very very poor. Reckon, they are doing all they can to help you if you have a problem, which is rubbish......they stab you in the back.
Rules change to suit them. STAY AWAY.
