Systemic organisational issues. The most unprofessional place I've ever worked. Revolving door of managers and no job development or growth for staff. Clients and amazing and so are my co-workers. Jewish care has a terrible reputation within my professional community - it was a hindrance listing this place on my CV. Below average pay, no salary increases, only 2.5% pa as per the EBA. Would strongly advise against working here.

What is the best part of working at the company?
It can be frustrating as management don't give support workers proper breaks .

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
When other staff are sleeping on the Job and there is no team work or enough food for clients .

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Pretty dodgy as in not enough training for staff. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
It can be pretty strange as in cleaning for someone and then driving someone to an appointment.

A typical day at work;  I spoke to clients of the public who consistently were in need of assistance.  I was shown appreciation when I ordered lunches during staff meetings.  Staff in general were
very carefree,  very positive work environment.  The Management
staff were unapproachable, not very positive to the rest of staff.

What is the best part of working at the company?
Staff was very good, Company provides salary packaging, good education sessions.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Micromanagement 
Lack of consistent leadership

JCV is not an organisation that upholds its core values!  Micromanagement, Passive/aggressive & bullying behaviours throughout the organisation.  Fear of retribution from HR if you speak up about these negative behaviours!! 
For the sake of your mental health I would not recommend working for this mob.

worked in disability sector. at the time company was very much in need of updates and for decisions to be filtered down. very money orientated and not client focused. After four years of bang my head against a brick wall for change i had to leave.

The staff that we work with is always friendly and polite and very knowledgeable. Has provided a good foundation, a stepping stone towards natural progression in career

Doing sleepover shifts and supervising adults in their home with household chores and getting them ready for going out to day placements. Administration work, assisting the house supervisor. Lots of filing, email responses.
