I started my day @ 6.45am, by opening the office up, checking answering service, opening computers, checking weighbridge monitor, counting the float (cash for till). 
My day was answering phones, directing jobs to drivers, operating weighbridge, serving customers, both cash & accounts. when the second shift started @ 8am I then went to my own desk to do the reconciliation of bank statements, eftpos, daily banking, journals etc
My go workers were great we worked as a team, smoko usually we had cake. the hardest part of the job was all the interruptions while trying to balance. Management @ JR Richards had changed , a few months before, so therefore there were lots of changes, too many. The new manager was or is only interested in "the Guys" admin took second place. The most enjoyable part of the job was solving a stressed out builders problem and getting Thanks for it. I learnt that rubbish is not just rubbish, & we all need to recycle, recycle!

I worked day to day as Manager in a Customer service call centre, the days were challenging and fast paced, with 8 operators taking up to 150 calls each per day, I worked alongside and reported to Senior Managers and enjoyed the interaction with all staff in all other departments in the depot, I believe the most challenging part of my role was the day to day management of the staff, I enjoyed the opportunity to be hands on in most aspects of the role, and had great satisfaction in seeing others achieve.

Unfortunately, management is the biggest problem in this Company,  There is too much management and they are continually hassling the drivers to complete tasks in shorter times therefore running the risk of drivers having accidents as can be seen in recent publicised accidents involved JJ Richards drivers,

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Management ,is playing off staff against other departments 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Work environment is very tense , no smiling allowed and head must be down all the time .if you are a bully you will fit in,very racist to non Australian 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
8am _ 5 pm degradation , only good think is 5pm

Duties included coding and keying invoices for payment, reconciling statements, reconciling subcontractor invoices and reconciling the landfill invoices. I learned time management skills, and to manage staff. I was responsible for training my replacement. The hardest part of the position would be to obtain the approved and signed invoices in a timely manner so that suppliers did not put JJ Richards on stop credit.
The position was varied, and the staff were wonderful.

I go to work every day and look forward to seeing my co-workers on a daily basis.  They make the day fun and enjoyable, and we all pull together to get the job done.  There are good days and bad days, but the bad days are very seldom.  We all get along and treat each other not only as co-workers, but as friends and family.  Overall it is a great company to work for

Early starts  different trucks all day long for me

Overall it was one of my favourite jobs. I believe that assertiveness and a can do attitude helps at the interview as well as having the right licenses I believed got me the job. 2-3 weeks of ample training and trainer are one of the bonuses, Co workers, supervisors and management are helpful if you ask for help. Professional approach towards customers. Good pay rate for full time 
position.  5 stars from me.

Vehicles were well maintained, training was good, kept pretty busy so the day went fairly quickly. Depot managers were decent guys, can't really say the same about head office. Luckily they couldn't be bothered to get in the trenches too often. All in all not the worst mob I've worked for.

jj Richards is a great place to enter an apprenticeship with as they are very understand with capability and availability of their apprentices. they are also offer a great carrier opportunities
