What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
The management . Most have little to zero ppl skills . Their word is final . They don't engage enough with staff and they certainly do not want to take their staffs word over any of their supervisory team 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Volatile  at times . Very biased . Definately have their favourites .

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Working for the nursing staff was brilliant.  Wonderful group of ppl . Working for the company was awful . Disciplinaries given out constantly for the most ridiculous of reasons .

I enjoyed my time working at Ipswich Hospital and I found it rewarding  to help the nurses and HCAs with their admin, contract changes, etc. I liaised with nurses, HCAs, Consultants, HR, Management and I learned a lot about the Trust and knew my around the hospital very well as I had to liaise with different departments on a regular basis. The workplace culture was to work hard and have a laugh. The most enjoyable part of my job was when I visited the different departments and spoke to the nurses and HCAs and the other secretaries.

Management clock and have favourites.
Team leads are picked because part of the click.
Supervisors are picked if they have been there longest.
Bullies.
Atmosphere suffocating.
Awful place to work now. People just leave go travelling then just walk back in. No interview.
So those people who have applied get overlooked.
Shifts are picked by the favourites.
Spoke about behind your back.
The manager is very two faced.
Employs females.
Wages are very poor for what you do.

Nothing comes to mind honestly

Informative, fun, enjoyable, not repetitive

I worked in various admin and clerical roles within many different Ipswich NHS Hospital Trust departments and teams. I worked Full-time for 14 months and then on a Full-time basis whilst on vacation periods from University.

Being on Capel Ward was the best place for me to work. The patients that come on to Capel range from and infected ear ring piercing to terminally ill patients with cancer. Every day was different 2 days were never the same. The nurses and senior members of staff were extremely helpful and offered 2rhr support.

The OCS management are not very good they don't look after there staff unlike the trust does I really enjoy my portering job pushing patients from wards to making sure they have there scans on time in my 29 years I have been at the hospital the last 7 years have been a challenge 

Good teamworking and peer support during difficult times make role enjoyable.  Learned much about patient care and juggling responsibilities.  Hardest part of the role is working with financial constraints.

I enjoyed working at the hospital. 
Training was of the essence as I hadn’t done this work before.
Patient care and comradeship was top of my list. I did get a lot of experience whilst I was there.

Excellent organisation to work for, i left prior to the merger between IHT and CHUFT. 

Very visible CEO who really cared for both the employees and the patients.
