Day-to-day is manageable, but expect to be asked to do things outside your original role. Your contract seems to shift with the wind, and there's no mention of bonuses or pay raises after probation. There's no clear incentive to stay, especially in the first year. You can buy coffee or snacks until 2pm, but prices vary between buildings and the quality isn’t great. Parking at care homes is free—if you can find a spot.

You’ll get called out for mistakes, sometimes in front of others, while supervisors make the same errors without consequence. Different staff will give you conflicting directions, and some act like their job is harder than yours, even though you're working just as hard. There's little opportunity for growth, and often more work than staff to handle it—so things get stressful fast.

The best part about working there was that everything was doable, you're never really challenged. So this is a good employer if you are happy staying in the same place forever.

To help people in need, the staffs are the main hand for company, and organisation without its employees, is like a body without a soul.

The receptionist is not professional and not nice to work.

The work environment is to be responsible to take care if consumers, and providing the safety and good environment for them, and regarding my work environment was very supportive from my colleagues, very hard workers staffs.

The typical day , I'd the day everyone is calm, happy, and when my colleagues and I engaged and be involved in big events and themed days happy hour.

Flexible working. Some overtime allowed.

No pay rises, no time off, no employee support, too top heavy with managers.

Bad, company has too many managers and not enough workers

Very stressful, long days, little reward.

collaborative and empathetic workplace where residents and employee wellbeing come first. Genuine career progression available and secondments into other departments. Fun office space and team with monthly business updates and morning tea. 

As with aged care industry they are very short of staff. They rely quite often on agency staff who are not committed to give the best because they are on contract.  They also get paid more and not very reliable as they pick and choose what jobs they like to do. Of course there are some who are excellent.  Staff are friendly and very helpful.

Typical aged care upper management wanting 1 person to do the job of 3, half the time the floor was filled with agency staff due to not giving permanent staff enough back up.

Manager was calculating and often used untruths when in meetings.  Expected to work long hours with no remuneration and put under the microscope at all times.  Micromanaging on steroids.

The local team and clients were amazing. Head office were either non existent or micromanaging. No respect for skills and knowledge and no real empathy for the residents. As long as the boxes were ticked and things looked pretty the behavior of higher management was ignored.  

Aged Care is a tough industry but infin8 is a very progressive company and continually looks for ways to enhance residents quality of life and employee working environment . Since acquiring our site there have been some major improvements in a huge number of areas.
