What is the best part of working at the company?
I really enjoyed the evening AMDS clinic as I enjoyed the fact you never knew what would come in at night and I got to use all my skills. Since closure of night clinic I have taken on casual role working not only at Eltham clinic but also covering for Mill Park, Craighieburn and Greenvale which started in July. I have only worked at Greenvale and Eltham so far but have enjoyed working at another clinic getting to  know other staff, routine and patients a new challenge for me to look forward to.I am excited and really looking forward to this new role within company and am grateful to all staff who were able to make this new role available for me to continue working for IPN . I thank all staff responsible for this  opportunity and I embrace my new role with in the company.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
The one thing I found stressful at times was not having the back up of Medical Team  when facing an emergency situation. Some Medical staff were not  willing to come forward and assist even after pushing emergency button especially in walk in situations. There were a number of times when we had to face this on our own unsupported and I feel this is not safe for patients and nursing staff to not feel they can rely on their colleagues to help out in emergency situations.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Mostly inclusive and generally a team attitude 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Personally I enjoy working at Eltham Ridge I love the meeting of such diverse patients and helping my community however I am able. Also the other nursing staff I feel we all get on well and there really is a team feel and we are all supportive of each other in helping with Patients care and continuing our personal education.

What is the best part of working at the company?
The Doctors at the practice ( mostly, except one )

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
The sheer volume of work expected of you 
The difficult to deal with and unprofessional management (particularly the practice manager herself)
Very long hours 
The pay was well below what you can get elsewhere & no where near in line with the work performed.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Absolutely terrible. 
The manager made it uncomfortable to be there, frequently told me off in front of the patients, accused me of making mistakes which turned out to be in fact her fault but could not accept responsibility.
The work environment itself was alright, everything that was required to perform the role was indeed provided.
The major thing missing here was decent management.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Come in, get doctors offices ready for the day, turn on computer and get ready for doors to open at 8am sharp where the phone would start going like crazy bang on 8am until closing time. The phone was ringing almost constantly all day every day for the most part. 
Patients waiting to be checked in or out of the clinic and only one receptionist at the time who had very limited prior experience but was thrown in the deep end anyway!!

Working in a medical practical practice can be wonderful and rewarding despite the stress and busy nature of the job. 
There are countless issues with the practice I work at as is, but I’ll put those aside for this review to focus on the larger issues working with IPN, at least for the region I am working in.
The pay is absolute minimum for administrative staff and nurses, which definitely plays a part in the high turnover rates in their practices. But even if you stick things out and ace all of your performance reviews you’re probably not going to get a pay rise. I’ve had doctors personally recommend raises for myself and top performers to  regional managers only to be told this would be reviewed at a later date that never comes.
I’ve watched long term, beloved nurses (by doctors and patients) being offered “promotions” with no pay rise at all as they already had a “higher pay” due to their long service. 
If IPN actually prioritise their patients they should stop treating their staff as disposable. The good ones leave, the rest are either in training or lazy. 

A great experience working with a diverse team of doctors and nurses. A busy clinic with a diverse community group. I was faced with varies challenges on a daily basis ranging from client care through to behavioural problems. I developed a fast approach to problem solving and achieving best possible outcomes for individuals. The hardest point of the position was dealing with violence on a frequent basis. I learnt strategies and methods on how to handle situations and continued working for many years.  The most enjoyable moments was developing wonderful friendships with individuals whom I worked closely with.

Not a very rewarding job except for the patients and Gp's that appreciate the amount of stuff we have to put up with.
Pay is very very low especially for the amount of nonsense we have to put up with especially from head office and management.
I definitely would not want any of my friends or family working for this company.

IPN is a large company with medical centres located all over Australia. This allows employees to transfer between States and cities as well as providing employees  the opportunity work at numerous medical centres if extra hours are required. IPN is a network of super clinics providing pathology and imaging services as well as a general practioner Services.

Only worked a short time due to heavy nursing workload and an unsafe environment that could potentially risk nursing registration. Not open to changes. Thankful to management for the experience and kindly resigned and never received a reply, had other staff messaging me and the position was quickly advertised on Seek; unprofessional. When you think it pays off to be kind and a hard worker and you get shoved over like that. Low pay for what they expect from the nursing staff. 

IPN are all about numbers and not employees. Earning amount is criminal.  Management do not value staff or assist in issues that arise. The only positive was range of skills learnt, especially phlebotomy and wounds. The team were good until it became clicky and not a good environment to work in. Some staff were treated worse than others. For all of the money and study put into being a nurse, working in a supermarket would pay more. No advancement opportunities unless you are a favourite

Great staff to work with and you feel like they are your family but the pay is horrible and you cant afford to live or pay your bills. IPN company gets away with paying their staff below the standard pay rate. 
The company cant keep amazing staff members because of this. It is out of managements hands and it comes down to the BIG BOSSES that get away with minimum wage!!! 

This company is supportive in some ways but also lack. The pay is not good, especially when you're never sure of having a break and trying to save up. Some hours are unfair (sometimes you only work 3) when the minimum is 5. Therefore the shfit hours are never rotated between staff.
