Getting to work at 4.45am check all boundary fencing and open gates,down load and print out weather report and prepare breath analysis and paper work for pre start meeting .
Do pre start ensuring all employees have the correct PPE and are working in the correct locations and view and sigh off on JHA"S and take 5"s.
Sight inspection and report on safety issues and environmental dust monitor reset and placed in high dust risk area .
Attend first aid room for auditing and reporting .
Attend weekly  safety meeting with contractors.(lunch)
Safety inspection of all work place activities report on any breaches
check all take 5s and JHA"S .
Breath analysis on delivery drivers and escort to designated area to unload and escort of site once unloaded.
Attended weekly supervisors production meeting.
Catch up on paper work of the days activities.
safety inspection walk around with Rio Tinto Safety team .
Check dust monitor and organize water truck to wet down site .
Check rubbish and have truck remove from site .
Report on soil removal ,and chemical storage.
do final walk around site close gates and check fence for any breaches.
The hardest part is dealing with visitors
The most enjoyable part is seeing everyone going home safe.
I learned the more effort you put in the better the result will be.

If they were able to keep me on I would have stayed with them until I retired.
I found them very easy to work with their team spirit and dynamic a real pleasure to work alongside. Their foremen are very good at what they do and install a sense of confidence in the trades and labour around them.
As a labourer traffic controller the other workers and I worked as a team to deliver jobs on time as quickly and as safely as possible.
With pre-start meetings before work to discuss the days work ahead and all safety concerns from the day before and ongoing Hutchinsons site safety was always at the forefront of everybody's mind.
Finally, I'd like to say that they were prepared to work hard in a fun environment to achieve a common goal.

Typical day at work as a tiler's laborer was to carry tiles, adhesives and grout to allocated locations. Was a multi story complex that had different tiles in each unit. 
Learned how to work in a team and to help out everyone that needed help
Management was exceptional as they were always there to help out
The culture of the workplace was great as we all worked as a team
Hardest part of the job was the physical strength needed at times but I thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of the role I had within the company.
Most enjoyable part of the job was the fact that I was able to assist others as much as possible in getting their job done

Whilst i worked at hutchinson builders i couldn't get happier, being outside and working to deadlines is what i live for. I work well under pressure and love opportunities to show initiative and as a lot of people are lazy in the trades this gives me a great opportunity to get a head of the pack. I am built for phisical labour, the hardest part of the job was the heavy lifting which was also my most enjoyable part aswell.

The process and procedure culture was not what I thought it would be at the time I worked there.
I would have thought there should have been more training provided in the procedural requirements of the company in line with the financial reporting process.

Every culture and everyone is nice and friendly and also knows how to get on with work and it was very enjoyable when we were working and did communicate with 1 and another it was very enjoyable and i know this because of other experiences of no communication on the work site or place which was not as enjoyable

Complete lack of leadership and team management , poor distribution of information, inequalities amongst worker's treatment, total lack of vision by local management

Working with Hutchinson builders, has taught me a lot about communication, safety in the workplace, family and pride in your work. working hard and long hours but being safe and professional.

Good working hours and time given to gain additional qualification.
Family orientated business focussing on its most important commodity, its people. Enjoyable to work for.

I was always up bright and early about 3:00am in the morning ready for work, by the time I got to work it was just about time for me to start work at 6:00am and I worked till 2:00pm I helped out around the place to keep it tidy and for people to walk pass without tripping.
