Hudsons Coffee

Hudsons coffee, particularly corporate stores lack any culture. The management and HR department is shocking to say the least. They do not care about their staff in any aspect. 

Everything about this place was shocking especially the wellbeing and safety of staff and customers. All they cared about was how to make an extra buck no matter what it took. You would think as a well known franchise under emirates Hudson's would be a good place to work, but think again and trust me , don't make my mistake. I would love to write a lot more but the review guidelines prohibit me from doing so. Big companies protected once again- what else is new. 

long story short, If you want to work somewhere where you and others are constantly abused and HR don't do a thing about it and find ways to brush it under a rug and if you want a short cut to depression then work here.

Whilst at Hudson's I was the opening supervisor. I was in charge of opening and setting up the store for the day this involved:
Counting the tills and setting up the register for the day
Organising the food cabinet 
Setting up and calibrating the coffee machine 
Counter service 
Food preperation
Coffee making 
Banking 
Ordering stock 
Invoicing 
Setting up new promotions each month

I worked alongside the store manager every day. We evenly shared all managerial procedures. 

During my time at Hudson's I gained a close relationship with all staff members as i trained them each month on new products and promotions that we had going. 

I enjoyed working at Hudson's as it was my first job in a supervisor role. It was a very demanding and rewarding job, which I enjoyed thoroughly.

I was told I’d be trained in 3 months it didn’t happen until 6 months later, the manager has obvious favourites and if you’re not one you get pushed to the side and disregarded. Not to mention it’s a hard environment as is to work as your customers are very stressed or ill and use you as punching bag constantly, you do get a few good regulars and some nice staff but that is the only highlight with working there. 

The cafe is located inside a hospital so the customers you see and serve are mostly nurses and doctors with the occasion patients. Manager was amazing but the boss ruined it for everyone. High staff turnover because of that. The boss favorited the main staff but treated the rest like nothing.

- Making coffee, taking food orders and preparing that food, and then cleabing and closing the sore down at night
- How it make coffee, how to use an efpost machine, how to prepare food
- management were good and fair
- I enjoyed working with all my coworkers, they all helped encourage me 
- Keeping up with the large rushes of people
- Making coffee and having people thank me for how pleasant it was

Store manager and those above - atrocious. Store manager - rude, bullyish and no idea of carrying on 'best practice & duty of care'.  No respect for most customers and staff. A typical day at work entailed serving customers; cleaning up; stocking up; food prep.  Basic learning of job only as manager didn't want me to prepare coffee (?). Some staff were enjoyable to work with.

I learned a lot from working at Hudson coffee like new skills. I guess it pretty fun working at the shop but you don't get pay. The hardest part of the job is when I fail to satisfy a customer. The most enjoyable part of the job is learning new things and meeting new and friendly customer.

work was okay just a few problems as why i have to open up my options due to management being unfair at times.
hardest part of the job is when you get a lot of complaint from customers and you try to help them or explain and they seem to take it in another way.
most enjoyable part of this job are my co-workers for they have been very open armed and welcoming,

Overall, I enjoyed the skills I learned at this particular Hudson's Coffee. The business was owned and operated by a family man that seemed dedicated to the craft of coffee making.

I working around 40 hours a week here, and I feel comfortable with their working culture that everything must be fast, 
What I learned here is everything should be write down in worksheet as a proof, from what a you doing this day, our daily, weekly, monthly task.
The hardest part is when we must clean everything perfectly in limited time.
