Hooters

Working here is torture. Simple. There are constant pay issues, employees are chosen mostly on a popularity vote rather than on actual experience, equipment is poorly maintained and is often broken, worker morale is non-existent because management seems more concerned with saving a few bucks here and there rather than up-keeping a positive work environment, having enough people on to cover the work, cutting pay (or not paying super at all which is an ongoing legal issue), and taking care of their store in general. The most enjoyable part of working there are the work mates who are having to endure the same terrible management as you are, the hardest part is everything else. 

within my first couple months of employment my pay was never right they were miss half my hours most of the time and i dont work for free . in saying that it had its ups my co workers were friendly and hardworking at the same time so they both motivated me and were there to have a chat and the same for me to them , i think my hardest time was when the resataurant was rushed with a full sitting around 200 people , and they all ordered at once we werent expecting it and i was the only one on fryers I got flooded . but from that i learnt got faster.

I really enjoy my time at Hooters, all of the staff and management are lovely and it's a fun job overall to have, including a lot of unique perks, such as the dances and birthday/bachelor games. The pay is minimum wage, making it difficult to live on, but it's definitely a great side job while studying or second job. I do love it there!

i was the venue manager at hooters campbelltown absolutely the worst resturant in the buisness. kids cooking raw food in the kitchen no training whatsoever. oh sory a couple of days at parra hooters lol. 
no proper structure.
all over the place management GM is a child not even 28 and does not no what she is doing.

Great group of girls, great vibe and great money (when it's busy)

Sadly they have a high staff turn over as management can't afford to roster on more than a couple of front of house staff on at a time.

Amazing company, with great potential, just a shame it's in the wrong hands in Australia.

A typical day at hooters was never boring. We always had fun wether it was slow or not. The management was great. My mangers genuinely cared about us and our happiness at work. They always had our backs. I met many life long friends working here. This job was very rewarding, great for a first job.

Food ordering and ensuring food preparation is all up to date- I learnt most of my kitchen hand and chef experience through the restaurant. I worked closely with management and wait staff to ensure that there was good food and service

This establishment is a horrible place to work. The only good thing about it is a couple of the other girls you work with. 
The owners are extremely self-centred. 
All of the current staff are also currently looking for new jobs so they can leave.

A fun place to work, I learned the basics and some neat skills that make my job easier and tasks more time efficient, management are approachable and easy to work for.

fun and entertaining job, meet lots of new people.  The hours are generous but the flexibility is limited you MUST work weekends.
