A lot of the staff seem busy and hard to get a hold of at times which wasn’t great when you needed to talk to them asap.
If a client shifts were canceled due to them being i hospital, no one would inform me, so I had to ask for myself.
They give false promises such as saying you will get heap of hours, also lie and might not tell you What some plans are such as when I was hired for a client they were planning to cancel his services asap and the client informed me of his services being canceled from home caring which they did after a week of me being hired.
They don’t listen to how you feel about clients and how you feel about work, such as informing them I wasn’t wanting so many shift with a particular client and would be great if you I could do less, they did keep saying they will try but didn’t seem like they did.
When I told them I’m gonna find a new job due to them wanting me to stay with a client that is in hospital but his shifts are canceled which means I have no hours or income, they responded with that’s understandable.
I got told I was a great worker and very valuable but didn’t get treated like I was.
Some of the workers I got to work with are amazing people and there very helpful.
I’m sure not everyone will get treated like this but just be cautious about this company home caring and don’t be afraid to ask questions.

My typical day of work here involves different clients and different locations, and everything is operated through an app which makes tracking much more manageable. What I appreciate most about this job is the management team will always have my back regarding any hardships. They make sure that I know all the ropes when dealing with new clients and make me feel comfortable and relaxed doing my job. They also provided me with new tips and unwritten rules to help me succeed in future employment. Without a doubt, it has been a great journey, especially when meeting with different workers, and I will not regret making my decision to work for this organisation.

Office staff are friendly but all over the place. You need to be firm with your boundaries. Other SWs are usually pretty good to work with. 

Pay is BELOW average for the type of clients you're dealing with - complex behaviours, mental health etc.. And don't except any warning about the behaviours you will experience, chucked in the deep end. They have a high staff turnover for a reason. 

Always miscommunication between office staff - clients - support workers. Arriving on shift and no one has told you key information, or you're told that the information was passed onto clients when it clearly has not...

PRO : they are flexible with leave and rostering, salary sacrifice at least makes the LOW pay a bit better. 

They do have a handful of good clients, but these shifts are always filled.

Wish I left sooner

A great company to work for, who seem to care about the happiness and wellbeing of their employees and clients.
The shifts are substantial (8-10 hours or overnights) and the company encourages a collaborative atmosphere in the team to work together, share duties and to lock in consistent rosters that suit everyone. 
This is not a company to work for if you don't have a passion for support work, as they do have very high standards and a strict policy of being kind. This results in great teams of support staff to work with.

There is no good part about working for this company. They treat their staff like rubbish. They do not follow protocol with anything. Just a terrible company

They will fire you without any grounds. Just a rubbish company

Very toxic environment.  Worst I've ever worked for

Pros: Awesome clients, can get plenty of shifts, management is happy to accommodate for time off, holidays, sick days etc 

Cons: severely underpaying their staff, management chop, change & cut staff from the rosters without communicating, very poor communication between management & SW’s, cut corners & save costs effecting the clients care needs & support, not much loyalty to their regular long time staff

I didn't learn anything, this is one of the worst companies I have encountered a lot of negativity, lack of support, back stubbing. The pay is meagre because the company takes 40% for doing nothing. You have to use your own car and never get reimbursed for mileage. There is a lack of support and everyone is friendly to your face but in fact, they are backstabbers. 

No clear chain of command. No HR structure (HR is literally one person)
'Authority members' of the Brisbane City franchise company are family, or partners of.
You will be paid well but you need to bend backwards, inside out and be quiet.
Don't think about having a sick day unless you're keen for false rumours or defaming behind your back.

Homecaring Rockhampton is led by the finest. Clients needs are always recognised and are first most priority. Managers work extremely hard to lead by example.
