Whilst I have been an employee at Hofmann Engineering for 10 years, not a single day is the same. There is always a new challenge to be resolved, different tasks and priorities to be tackled and never-ending banter within the team. 
Every workplace has its frustrations, but I can't say I've experienced more than I have at previous places of employment. 
The team is like an extended family - everyone is nice, friendly and welcoming of each other and new employees, are always up for a quick chat and come together and work as a team to find resolutions to challenges when they arise.
The work/life balance is good and the management team are approachable and considerate and will work with you wherever possible when you require some flexibility.
Overall its a great place to work!

very busy co-ordinating supplies to various disciplines within the manufacturing process.
On-going support and tutoring apprentices to achieve overall understanding of procedures within each department.
On-going placement of indents/orders to manufacture components.
Issue of tools and equipment to various persons and departments.
Administration and logistics play a major role as well as co-ordination,training and support.

Overall not a horrible place to work, Hofmann engineering as a company is also relatively stable so you are unlikely to be out of a job.

There are a few middle managers who get in the way but the atmosphere of the company is not terrible all things considered.

During Christmas time there were less staff at that time, my boss called me up requested for urgent work to be completed in 4 days for one the mining company. Right from manufacture to quality and dispatch, we made it by 3 days.

Upper management is a family run company that relies on the money that they screw you out of a salary for. Constant screw ups, from managers who have never made a thing in their lives. They expect German quality from the cheapest chiniese vendor, shall I continue?

You’re expected to do too much work for your pay, you’re expected to answer phone calls 24/7, you need to eat, breathe and sleep Hofmann. If your values don’t align with theirs exactly, you will get treated very poorly. 

Hofmann is a very good company for any young engineer to start his career as it will teach you all the basics you require to be succeed in your life. Good work culture and real job security.

As long as you did the tasks you were given your left alone  to do your job  and the supervisor would come and his check your all good.
You have to be very aware of your  surroundings with engineering

A fast paced work environment with production demands to be met also breakdowns my force changes in your work flow so a need for flexibility and adaptability is required

heavy engineering works very good company to gain technical knowledge. Big Job, Big Machines , Different Operations manufacturing Heavy Gears and Mill Shells Crushers
