It is always productive to learn so many new things each day. The facility manager and the clinical coordinator are very supportive to their staff. I got opportunity to learn complex health care management, decision making, time management, conflict management, assessment and care plan, ACFI and so on. 
We have a great team work and great leadership. Staff are supportive, flexible and approachable. Our main motto is to deliver  quality and safe health care services to our consumers.
The hardest part of the job is to deal with the challenging behaviours of some of the consumers which could be management  through the behaviour management skills and training. 
-Team work, Training and Education and leading to continuous professional development.

The workload expected for a care manager is too heavy considering the ratio of 1:99 residents. The role includes providing education to all staff, audits and ACFI from start to finish. These tasks in other facilities are under different positions such as clinical leader and acfi coordinator. The pay is low considering the amount of work needed. The work culture is also not healthy at all. Facility manager is supposed to support the care manager no matter what and not pick favorites from the staff and exempt them from escalating the issues to HR or head office.

Hardi Aged care have management issues the big bosses tend to blame the care manager when things aren’t going their way. 
Always short of staff and all about the profit .

I've learned to be patient whilst working. There were many challenges but I managed to overcome all. It has been an emotional rollercoaster but I have learned so many life skills from the job.

Quality of nursing care and helps to improve  your skills when you work with Hardi .Good salary and very good team to work with for new graduates.
Overall it’s a good place to start your career if you are passionate about working in aged care .

They are always short of staff so one have to work more to get the things done, every week someone leave and someone come. They don’t keep their staff well.

The time I worked there I enjoyed.As I loved helping our elderly,love giving them independence.
I organised all trips,created the Xmas light trips,and had a great family repore with all residents from all facilities.

Good management, staff are a little judgemental, and lazy but management are excellent and extremely understanding.
Would work here again a as long as you are not worried about making friends or other people's opinions.
