Hallmark was a great place to work, everyone who worked there were very friendly which made it enjoyable to be there 5 days a week!

Is easy for you to develop working in such a large company, the management are very supportive of your goals and where you want to be in your career. 

It is very enjoyable working in an environment where we can all learn something from each other and grow different strengths, this makes a good team.

There was a lot of variation within my day to day jobs ranging from data administration & producing order fulfillment reports to completing the ranging of products ready to be reported on throughout the business.

The hardest part was mainly when the staff count in the team was low so our workload had increased but this improved my strengths on being able to multitask and managing my workload due to breaking off onto different tasks throughout the day.

I was always very busy, a lot to do because I was also a specialist in Licensing. I love being busy, but at this job I was too busy in that I would work over 30 hrs overtime in 3 weeks and it was not a good work life balance anymore.
Management hadn't changed in over 10 years therefore they didn't like change although as the years go on the times are changing and it's all about the consumer at the end of the day and keeping them happy.
The hardest part of my job but the most enjoyable part of my job was Licensing. I loved working with the external Licensors and over the 3 years have built up a brilliant relationships with Disney, Warner Bros and Haven. The hardest was managing that all product in all shapes and forms were all legal approved before hitting the stores. Changes to the restructure made this part even harder to manage.

B##chy as and everyone has slept with everyone and still trying too even if they are partnered.
They are two faced,nasty and behave like some twisted high school club house. 
Most have been there forever, do absolutely nothing, get paid and an absolute fortune even during the period when they were shutting down nz, and looking at shutting in Australia. 
Instead of paying ppl what they are worth, they paid them more and sacked whole departments.


Driving around various supermarkets and shopping malls, having restricted amount of time to communicate with your store managers, working with staff who had a 'their' own work to do and did not have time for you, learning not to take that personally and working around those issues.  Did not have very much to do with co-workers except during 're-plans' when a group would come into a store to make adjustments to stands,  Work had to be done rapidly and without communication.

The company is fantastic, although work is not guaranteed, wouldn't recommend for someone with a partner or family you work mainly by yourself although the pay is good, a typical day would consist of: Catching a flight interstate, collecting company/ rental vehicle, driving several hours to a country town, checking into hotel and preparing fr your next day... arriving at location, setting up, buying gold for several hours and location. then packing up and driving to the next country town. etc

Go store to store order any cards that were low. Put up new orders. Then do the seasonal card displays.Eg Easter, Mothers day etc.When doing re plans i was joined by other merchandisers so we worked as a team to get the job done as quickly as possible.Mostly worked alone. The most enjoyable part was when doing re-plans. Getting the displays looking perfect. Being a casual job a lot of work like ordering was done from home in my own time that i didn't get paid anything for.

A great company to work for so far. Only issue being as a casual the hours are not guaranteed and consistent. Seeking more secure and constant work. Enjoy the responsibility of ensuring the Hallmark products are merchandised to the maximum standard to appear visually appealing to ensure quality sales . Find all the tasks at hand totally fulfilling.

Servicing newsagents and gift shops in a territory, merchandising, ordering/crediting stock.  Building report with owners and managers.  Selling in new products.  Building large seasonal displays e.g. Valentines Day, Mother's Day and Christmas.  Creating better positions for products to capture the buyers eye.  Operating electronic ordering had held device.

Hallmark Cards was based in scorsby.
Small team & very friendly.

Data entry of orders
Answering calls.

I loved working for Hallmark in the outlet store.  Unfortunately due to rent increases they had to close.  Great store team members and great management.  Would definitely work there again
