Hair Salon

i generally get there and have a slow start, i make tea and coffee for the customers, help to dry hair or tone it when the higher up apprentice is unavailable, sweep the floor, wipe down benches and mirrors/ windows. the managements is pretty relaxed but thats because i only work saturdays and know the boss personally. its a nice vibe in the salon, the hardest part is cleaning although its pretty easy or getting used to the computer system and booking appointments. i enjoy cleaning the salon as it is somewhat mindful and relaxing, i also like making small talk with customers.

A typical day at work is very busy doing something different every day.
I learned a lot from the other girls who worked there we would share tips on what we have learned at training courses.
Management ran the shop very well.
I got on great with my co-workers.
I loved my job as its very Creative and sociable.

Review for what???
It was christmas season so its the busy time in the hair salon. You don't know what busy is until you work in a hair salon. We should be paid more. Anyways it was fun and good to work with the girls and I loved learning how to do many styling, colouring, and other techniques in the salon.

well, this is a family business that I have been involved in since I was 14 years old, its a lovely business. we bring fun and happiness to our customers.

In the year 2016 I was require to do a week of work experience in the job industry of my choice. I did my work experiences in a hair salon where they tuart me how to meet and great clients and also how to clean the salon, I really in joyed my time doing my work experience there.

The salon was an enjoyable experience, it was rewarding and always air-conditioned, a very comfortable environment to work.
i only ever worked after hours on school days so the pay wasnt very high?

Excellent caring staff, but very stressful work. Pay is low and no room for movement/advancement in the industry.
Busy fast paced environment is good fun however in the long term it has affected my health and wellbeing.

When working here your co-workers generally becomes your family and support system, because we live and eat together and see each other everyday we all become very close friends.
