Good! Most people are happy to be there and most interactions are positive as long as you have a good team it’s easy and systems are in place to support workers 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Mostly point of service, some stock handling or gift wrapping depending on how busy we are, everyone does a bit of everything

Really nice company to work for, understanding and they try to be as supportive as possible. 
As it is primarily a family business (although very large) upper management are alittle lacking in vision or inspiring initiatives, so the work environment can feel stale and dated.
Bullying by upper management their dark secret.
The product is FAULTLESS. And sold with pride!

I've worked as a casual here for about two years; top down management is decent. Fair pay at award rates with training and progression for those who want it.  The work culture is better than most of the retail I've worked at or heard stories of. 
Fairly standard retail work with decent training. 
You WILL need to work Christmas and Easter.

Great product  that pretty much sells  itself. Very supportive  management  and they were very accommodating  when I  needed certain  days off due to having  primary school aged kids. Only bad thing is hours when it's  busy it’s  CRAZY busy and when it's  quiet I ( as a casual) get no or very few shifts but this is more of a casual  thing rather than a  Haighs thing.

The most enjoyable part of the job was trying all the new chocolate even before it gets released to the public, also a nice 33% discount from shop after working there 3 months. Co-workers were very friendly and i would highly recommend this job to anyone!!

Overall I have enjoyed working with Haigh's. The above average salary may be the main reason for this though. The company has seen a huge shift in culture in the past year or so and it looks like it will be switching to the corporate instead of "family" culture even more so now.

Learn something new everyday, how to to keep stock in order, recording all stock that goes to the stores.

The general manager is vindictive and has their favourites and makes it known in suttle ways, unless your'e  "in with the team" working their is very stressfull

The popularity of the store meant each day was fast paced and busy. Due to this, I became confident with working under pressure, became organised and kept up the positive spirit of the team and the store's atmosphere.
