What is the best part of working at the company?
Very helpful polite staff.  They work very hard to get you employment.  The Manager is exceptional, very nice preson.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
None.  I find there are no stressfull times working for HCA Melbourne.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Brilliant. Staff are all lovely and helpful.  They provide excellent educational upgrad on line and hands on.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Booked for what ever shifts I like.

Being a casual employee suits me very well, it supports my lifestyle as I am moving into teaching different workshops. 
I like HCA, they are very supportive in giving CPD opportunities (free) 
Their rates are really good, means less work for more money, the fact of working in private hospitals can be challenging because midwives are mainly obstetric nurses in that environment, they are given very little or no opportunity for independent thinking or initiative.

Its flexable  work your own hours

They dont like paying for overtime ,training ,travel they say its all included in hourly rate

They dont like to stand up for the employee they just wont send you to place 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
They cancell shifts like they are going out of fashion

I’ve been working for hca  for 5  years 
Great team in the bookings office who are always helpful and endeavour to get you as much work as They possibly can
I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this company to anybody who wants to do casual nursing work 
they have a great reputation

Good agency to work with they are friendly and you get to work in different hospitals and aged care facilities and if you work in a place thats not nice to work in you can let agency know you wont go there again.

Great agency to work for if you require flexibility. Very supportive of their staff and takes into consideration all individual needs. Awesome rewards program for referrals and shifts worked. Understanding, shifts allocated to suit experience and Do Not Sends / Do Sends for locations. 

I joined HCA three weeks ago. They gave me two shifts for each week on average. That was not enough for me. Especially, during the past week, they cancelled all my three shifts just two hours before they due. It seems like these shifts don’t exist at the beginning. That makes me stressed.

Staff supportive continuous shifts supplied aged / hospital and clinics / rural and you are able to pick and choose shifts I feel that you are supplied work to gain experience to further your ability as a nurse.

I’m Really disappointed to say the least 
Shifts keep getting cancelled last minute 
Promised loads of hours and permanent contracts. All my shifts have been cancelled I have never worked with an agency like this. The only good thing is that the pay is good but don’t expect any shifts. 

When I started working there they made sure that the shifts that I needed I got.  Any problems they were quick to work with you to solve the problem.  Always available to help out when needed.
