Nurse with many many yrs in care industry. The worst by far re treatment of staff, greedy managers very often little experience they just simply slot Nurses in to management  roles without sufficient training or insight just used as puppets but when as it invariably does go wrong these Manager's are used as scape goats and often disappear pronto . Hcone a very greedy company , service users dumped in to any old unit irrelevant of needs kind care is no where apparent  . Staff training unrealistic just a tick box exercise.  Poor staffing levels all In all.the absolute worst care provider in U.K neither sustainable care or productive.  



Worked in care for 5+ years and loved every aspect of my job until I decided to work for HC One. The company is ok to work for, although the training could be improved! For newcomers to care, online training is not as beneficial as classroom training. The home I work for is a beautiful home, great staff and some very caring employees. However, I've since become aware of some carers being favoured over others by senior carers (nursing assistants). Currently looking for another job as this makes for an uncomfortable atmosphere on shift. Manager and deputy are very good at resolving issues, I hope they can resolve this one too!

Avoid this company, huge turnover of staff due to constant staff shortages, was there a year and never had a break, both day and night shift run on minimum staff, staff working unpaid, never any food for residents for snacks, treat staff terrible, not a kind company!!! Lots of covering up by management, not enough training,, no chance of advancement. Area management just interested in saving money. All staff wear same uniform and do more cleaning than care.

I've only been working for HC one for 3 months but in that time have found ut quite stressful.  Management are very rude and I find them unapproachable. In the 3 months I have been talked down to in front of other work colleagues by seniors which nearly pushed me to leaving. I am sticking ut out but if another job arises I will leave.....  Trading was offered it said. I only shadowed a few shifts tho and felt uneasy

Management half asleep, never supported and always running short and staff have to deal with it. Management are never on the end of a call when you need them it’s constant voicemail until they are due back to work. Attitude of management is disgraceful and the amount of concerns for residents that are ignored and pushed under the carpet is unbelievable. Would never recommend working here to anyone.

Jobs for the boys attitude & bullying are very much alive & well at Catmoor House. If your friends with upper management you may stand a chance. Otherwise you'll be under valued no matter what you do

HC-ONE is badly run and I hope the UK government can look into this, ambition staff always leave and they regularly have to recruit and rely on agency.

Not a place I would recommend for anyone.

Not enough kitchen staff, housekeeping comes in occasionally 

Paying less than most of the competition out there. It's not exactly a bad place to work but they have huge rooms for improvements. They have the capabilities to sponsor employees but it's a messy process.

I had so much fun working at Hc-one. There was a good teamwork and the residents were amazing.
We were offered free lunch which made it easier for us instead of going outside to buy or the hustle of bring food from home.

Too many residents with few staffs and staffs are overworked with no career progression. Management act nonchalant towards all these. They care about the money and not the staffs.
