Having recently completed placement in the Wildlife area, I found all wildlife staff members from managers, full time, casuals and volunteers to be extremely supportive, welcoming, friendly and approachable at all times.

I appreciated the opportunity to learn new skills and gain experience working with various species.

I must add too how beautifully every single animal is well cared for and loved.

I would like to show my appreciation to the wildlife team.

You guys do an amazing job and should be super proud..

Gumbuya World is an amazing venue and it’s such a shame that the management running it is so incapable. The business has no planning or systems in place. It is purely reactive management and as a result both employees and customers get used and abused. 

Gumbuya is an amazing place to work, team leaders care about their staff and put effort into making sure we all feel safe and comfortable at work. The management team hires off of personality not just qualifications and are happy to help you earn the necessary skills for the job.

At Gumbuya World you must always be aware and concentrating to ensure everyone remains safe in the water. When lifeguarding there is a rotation that allows you to rotate through each of the pools to ensure that you do not lose concentration. It is a good place to work as it really cares about the well being of all staff members.

Very long days, low pay, working in heat with no shelter most the time. Treated as a number not a person.. no reward or praise for good job, no progression in the job or minimal.  Loved my time there but hated management.  If your sick they won't roster you ever again.

A fun environment to work in, being outdoors in the surrounds of the park is a big plus. 
Work with great people. Being that you are working at a fun park, makes for a less stressful working environment.

Fun place to work with opportunities to learn and develop skills in other areas. Staff and managers are very supportive and caring, making you feel safe and looked after.

Greta place to work for a summer job the hours are good and you’ll meet lots of cool people. Great opportunities for staff. As the work is casual you also get casual rates
