What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
The busy periods, finishing my shifts at 9pm, working all day from 5.15am, my manager was a very stressful person so that rubbed off on alot of the staff 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
corporate, it was scary at times because you didnt know what the day was going to be like and for anyone that likes a stressful environment I would recommend working for greggs 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Stressful, it was scary at times because we often got robbed due to being in the center of town

i actually really miss working there, and if i hadn't of moved i probably would still be. it was great! our small team was more like a little family. i mainly made the sandwiches, so i was in the shop early (which once i got used to it, was preferable to a closing shift). like 4am early. i often stayed on an hour or 2 to help with a busy rush, as my end of shift usually coincided with a busy time but I honestly didn't mind. it was a hoot, even when it was busy. there was always someone there to jump in and help out. 

all in all i give it a 10/10

What is the best part of working at the company?
The job itself is good. It’s the upper management continuously cutting hours that makes the job harder than it should be. No wonder they can’t keep staff very long. Yes it’s a busy place to work but if it was fully staffed and upper management didn’t expect the impossible while using ghost staff then I think people would be happy to stay. I was also short payed on a few occasions and had to fight to get it rectified. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Upper management ie area manager expecting the impossible

Having just left working for this company for 5 years
Easy work ok pay
Very early starts hours of work change don't get a choice if want keep your job. 
Last minute rotas and always changing them.
Senior members and management stick together, as a team worker you mean nothing.
No support when things go wrong.
No support when customers are rude or aggressive towards you. 

What is the best part of working at the company?
Sick pay and holiday pay  and profit share 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
No support when no staff you are expected to do overtime  regardless of how you feel

If you face fits you will be fine other wise you can be treated wrong

You are expected to do a lot off different tasks

Working in Greggs manufacturing in newcastle upone tyne is a fantastic experience.The staffs are highly motivated and result oriented.They have a clare safety culture and maintain highly define hygiene procedure all around the plant.
The jobe require an individual that is relentless and punctual to keep up the pace of production and that is one of my greatest achievement in joining the winning team of Greggs Plc.

Had good and bad experiences but long and short of it after 3 + years working 50 / 60 hour weeks sometimes, it took a toll... i stepped down from a managerial position but the stress/long hours didnt help my health and towards the end put me in hospital... I left soon after.


A typical day at Greggs is very busy, my co-workers are a great team to work with, Management is ok. The hardest part of the job is not having enough staff on particular shifts. The most enjoyable part of the job is getting on with everybody.

my work was not appreciated and i often found myself doing other colleagues tasks . very fast paced .i believe i was underpaid and overworked. i was often let down by management when it came too progressing in the company . there is allot of competition . 

It might look attractive when greggs advertise hgv jobs but in reality the pay is not true difference in pay up to 5500 for class1 drivers doing the same job .also happening in the production area .happy family i do not think so
