Upon arriving at work and signing on i would gather my PPE and prepare for a toolbox meeting. After the toolbox meeting i would then move to my designated role either D.O.G operations or general cleanups/maintenance.. throughout my role i learned many things, including: 
- Time management skills
- D.O.G. operation skills
- Truck direction and zoning 
- General knowledge of various grains

The management staff were fantastic, despite having some disagreements due to my inexperience the management staff remained courteous, and professional. they always ensured that the workplace culture would remain positive, safe, and respectful.

What is the best part of working at the company?
Loved the experience and due to the regular O/T , there was plenty of money to be made. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
One of the grain stackers would clog up and overflow very easily and would result in a big regular cleanup. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Everything about it was great. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Start with a site briefing and a coffee. 
RBI’s told their work locations and jobs to be done.

A typical day at Grainflow Harvest in Oaklands would be being outside all day directing trucks, tipping grain, maintaining the stack, handling high end machinery and keeping all aspects of the job and site safe and well kept. The fellow co-workers are great, down to earth people.

Working for grain flow was great the hours long and very hot out there as dog operator .. Money is good but employment agency took a fair slice and took % of shift rate on weekends.. Worked 17 days strait doing 10 hour shifts.. Had no sick days and was not considered the following season for reasons only known to goldie I guess.. Very disappointed whith this outcome as I would have loved to continue there on a seasonal basis

Casual , Seasonal workers and Management were all great people. I really enjoy working for them and would return to work with them again. They are a safety first company and make it very clear right from the start what your role is and what they except from you and encourage you to perform to the best of your ability every day.

Enjoyed the opportunity to operate unfamiliar machinery and plant.
Liked that if you accepted responsibility and showed initiative you were given further opportunity.Primarily i worked on drive over grid and stacker but also worked welding/fitting tarps and bunker wall construction.

the boss is fun ones she known you but her sis more fun love working there good employees too.

Can be long hours but you do have breaks and pay was ok with over time, this was a seasonal job though the summer months with training throughout the grain season.

have learnt team work is a must
management are great and easy to get a long with
best part of the job is finishing unloading a truck with ut having any problems or spills

dirty, dusty days shovelling grain
unloading tipper trucks of wheat and barley in summer 

good employees getting the job done when needed
very labour intensive, but good to see the end result when the site is full of grain
