Gotcha! The Kids Photographers


We are able to empower little kids to live out their fantasies and dreams.
It’s such a wonderful impact for us to be apart of the creation of such unique photography.

Connecting with kids, laughter, top vibes, uplifting and showcasing their personality is so rewarding and much fun! We do this together with our remarkable co-workers (who are awesome)

Yes we work hard, we only work with the best (that we choose, not management) we take people like us that are genuine and authentic (gossipers and drama not welcomed). Our studios are equipped with professional equipment and modern technology.

It’s challenging on your feet all day, but if your use to retail or hospitality - that’s normal.

We are supported throughout all departments. The Company facilitates good communication as much as possible as there is a lot of freedom on studio and our locations and travel-locations can be diverse. We work close to home and at times we do work away. There are teams that always work away (if that’s what you prefer - travellers and backpackers love this option)

Accomodation is mostly great, sometimes they don’t get it right. Mostly it is always more than acceptable.

It’s a remarkable place to work and grow your career. It’s fun, exciting and it’s well established with caring support people involved.

Pay is good and I love earning extra money each pay in my bank. Superannuation is also paid.

I’m so excited that I get to experience New Zealand next! Lucky me


A warning to those enticed by working for Gotcha.
Although this company promotes free travel and easy bonuses (bonuses only with unrealistic targets), this is hardly rewards for the mental strain and toxic environment that they actually have.
Best case scenario, you have a good team that can work well together, however this will still come with the constant reminder from upper management that the results for the day are not good enough, despite team efforts. You may get some nice feedback when you are the "golden child" of the month or if they are desperate enough ~ Be careful though as nothing kind comes without some sort of expectation or pressure.
Head office will also like to communicate mainly over the phone (when it isn't an extensive and belittling email) which allows them to be as passive aggressive and rude as they like without a paper trail of their words.
In this job you will work incredibly hard for very little pay back. There There will always be small positives to see in any situation however it is incredibly minuscule for the toxic culture that they not only start but also encourage amongst their staff. The fish rots from the head ~ beware

Working with Gotcha! has been one incredible journey. No days are the same and you make an incredible support network all over Australia! The travel opportunities are endless. 

The co-workers/management are the highlight of working  at Gotcha! Highly energetic, enthusiastic, professional colleagues that make your day run so smoothly. Everyone is willing to help each other out from studio staff, head office and management. 

The hardest part of the job is also the most enjoyable and rewarding. Making the child smile. Its a difficult job, but let your inner child out and you get a fulfilling feeling when you snap that photo right where their personality shines through.

Working at Gotcha! Has given me a world of endless opportunities for growth professionally and personally. 

I have worked for this family based business for the past 11 years and worked my way through the ranks and various departments. I have loved every second of my time here, and the new and varied challenges that are presented. 
The management team and team members from head office to out in the shopping centre environment are amazing with an open communication culture where everyone feels valued and respected.
I love seeing the results form the hard work everyone puts in, by way of happy customers and the smiles on children's faces after an awesome experience.



An easy learning curve and transition to professional photography even if you're a budding amateur. A quick way to learn about retail and a great opportunity to explore customer relations. Most of all it's a fun job and a place where you can make friends for life. Management was always fair but like any progressive business, targets had to be met which were always based on past performance at shopping centres.   

All you do is just stand there like an idiot trying to bring parents and their kiddies in for a photo shoot, I hate pushing people into doing something that they dont want to do. I kept getting told to push people, push people, I hate doing that to people. I get that you need business, but 2020 has hit everyone so hard that money would be so tight for them all. And then I would be getting into trouble for certain things. Dont work for this company. 

I have grown with this company for many years and feel secure and supported in and out of my job roles. I started on the studios and worked my way to a management position traveling around Australia. I then moved to head office and progressed my way up through the company. Having experienced most job roles at Gotcha! it has given me a great understanding of how the company runs and how much team work is needed. I love the people I work with and its a great place to come to work everyday! 

I have been with Gotcha! for 5 years and find them to be a good company to work for. You need to be a hard worker and ok with fast pace change. The studios are probably the best in the industry, equipment is very good and good quality training. It's excellent experience if your trying to build a career in photography.

I have worked at Gotcha for a few years now and I honestly couldn’t be happier. I get paid to travel around Australia for work and I love watching our product put smiles on our customers faces.
I find the staff in all the different departments including management friendly and supportive. 
Overall it’s a great place to work and I love the work life balance the job provides.
