A large construction job that involved allot of different aspects of the electrical industry which i enjoyed. Love a new challenge
Learnt how to cope with sub extreme conditions and different ways to get work done adequately
My co-workers were great and we all banded together to get each other through as it is hard to be away for 4 weeks at a time, especially the ones with young families
The extreme temperatures and repititive and continuous days on end were the biggest challenge and also being away from home for 4 weeks at a time
Absolutely loved the camp setup, the people I worked with, and the new challenge of a completely different job that im used to.

My team recently completed a major shut down here at FMG Port which was the  second shut and the final stage of the 8 month  project. The team i had on this project have worked together for 4 years . There skill levels are second to none making a days work enjoyable and fast paced with saftey always in there minds . There has been hard times having to work in and around the marine contractor that has been behind for 90% of the project . We managed to make them apart of our daily plans with marked up drawings showing them where we needed to be in a weeks time e.t.c .With the ongoing support from the FMG project team all scope works are almost  compltete. It is a good feeling finishing ahead of time and budget .

Coordination of all Goodline Plumbing works in the Port Hedland Region
 Major projects/contracts included Shutdowns for FMG, BHP, Rio Tinto and the Port Hedland Port Authority, including $50 million SMPEC Stockyard and Concrete works for FMG, FMG Expansion T45,T60, T155- $85 million, Red River Accommodation Village -$18 million
 Housing and Site Maintenance and Upgrade contracts for FMG, BHP and Rio Tinto
 Construction of Sport and Recreational facilities- Port Haven
 Numerous Housing Hydraulic Construction projects
 Mechanical HDPE Service Lines for Wharf expansion- BHP Nelson Point
 HR and Management Functions including Cost Control, Tendering, Quote Preparation and daily Coordination/Management duties.

Staff not replaced with resignations over the last twelve months, unrealistic deadlines with the current staff levels.  Management not enforcing company policy throughout the whole organisation.  The hardest part of the job is holding up Supplier payments due to the shortfall of internal processes.  The most enjoyable part of the job is the interaction with nice people both internally and externally and working in MS Excel.

Most days started with poor management and no organisation,
learnt that goodline speak with forked tounge the job specification did not match up just lies to get people do not work on their shutdown crews it is all about being underpaid and f--k-d around.
Discusted with the low level of ethics and poor man management and issues involving pay and the lack of information returned and finding a leader who actually admits responsibility, a very poor copy of a company sucking up to Rio Tinto's style of management, do not work for them unless desperate then find something else as soon as possible

Work involves many unpaid free working hours weekly. Time sheet processed daily  and if you missed few hours in a working days your worked free hours will not compensate the company missed working hours of the during a day. Half working days are half paid days but are worked for more than the half hours of the day. Discipline and quality supervisors are suitable more for back yard projects where the standards are superficially followed. Its a family business where the friendship with the employees is overstretched to generate more profit.

Luckily I only did a few swings with Goodline. 

Poor management,  actually were quite threatening towards the workforce in Pre-start’s. 

Always pushing,  tried to get every ounce of sweet and blood from the boy's. 

Didn't want to follow EBA.

Outright lied to the workforce about project timeline and future works,  ie "if you boy's keep this up we will have work here for next 18 Months". When there was only 2 months of work in total,  I went past there site 3 months after leaving and there was nothing left,  no office,  store or laydown yard's. 

Be wary of their lies.

Fast paced with challenges.
What is urgent and important.
Management very OHS conscious always contactable and available to speak to you.
Team support and software updates and improvements continually to help reduce error and time.
Each day brought new challenges however there is great comradery and support from on-site management to Head Office when required.
The team you work with become family so each day someone is always looking out for you.

I've been on assignment with Goodline for the last two months and from what I have seen, most people in the business are all long term and move throughout the company.  

Healthy culture with daily stretches, healthy food delivered to the kitchen for free and employee health and wellbeing programs.  

Fast paced work environment with a group of good people.  Would recommend the business to anyone looking at working with the group.

Goodline is a great company to work for ,it was a great honour to be part of such a dedicated team.
Enjoyed working and making friends from all over Australia during my FIFO Roster ,they are my family away from home.
11 hour a day shifts, all week as I expected going into the mining industry, being away from family is a difficult sacrifice but one I chose to make and happy to continue to do to support my family and provide the best for my kids, and well worth it when I return home for the week break.
