The typical day is usually the same putting stock out and adding skus onto items then processing sales and helping customers cleaning etc. I believe I learned how to approach customers that were harder to talk to due to being more closed off and how to sell things. Management was pretty good though the rosters came out late a lot and clashed with my other roster that came out first. Managers were nice though and did care about their staff and how they’re doing in life and made many jokes with staff during shifts. The workplace culture was good though sometimes had gossip between stores and staff but everyone was nice and I made some really great friends I got excited to see each shift. Hardest part was the KPIs people would steal your sales and hog the sales even after making their own budget so if you said hello to a customer they would approach them to and try to show them items after they heard you tell the customer you would help which can be frustrating when their getting annoyed staff aren’t meeting budgets. Along with that they expected you sometimes to annoy the customer but sometimes people just want space to shop. Most enjoyable part was the nice customers that came through and few nice friends you make along the way and covering other peoples shifts at other stores when needed. 

I am a casual retail sales assistant here and this has been my first job. ever. I couldn't hope for more lovely and supportive bosses and supervisors. The store is pleasant and generally so are customers. If you stuff up, it isn't a big deal and more senior members of staff give constructive feedback and are kind.
The pay for a temporary casual is good, especially as they give you lots of hours. You get awsome sunday and public holiday penalty rates, too.
The hardest part of the job is that it can be draining to be constantly on your feet serving and talking to customers, but you get half hour to 45 min breaks which really help.
There is a lot of work and hours, so it can be hard to balance life and work, so don't take on this job if you have a very very busy life already.

A typical day at work is ensuring all stock has been put out and ready to sell, ensuring that no matter what job we are doing we are always putting the customer first, I work in a good environment where management and team members all get along well and know how to make the store a happy and inviting place for customers, i have learnt a lot about jewellery working with the company and the hardest part would have to be sometimes reaching my daily goals however the best part is seeing the look on a customers face when they are truly grateful for your help

Goldmark is hands down the best job I’ve had and I regret leaving. Even though I was hired as a Christmas casual, I was working anywhere from 3 to 7 hour days and after Christmas was given the opportunity to stay as a permanent casual. Always work to do, never a dull moment. Only issue I had were the KPI/daily budgets as individuals and as a store, high and unrealistic expectations for the area the store was located in, was always a hit or miss. 

Goldmark is a fun but sometimes challenging (busy time periods) place to work, I learnt a lot about sales and store merchandising aswell as how to build a strong connection with customers. The jewellery and watch knowledge you obtain is extremely extensive and is put to work in a fun and busy company. You are constantly supported by those higher than you in the company and other stores, and everyone is always up to help.

Loved customer service and stock displaying. I was working at prouds jewellers who also owned this company an I was only temping due to staff drop off when store closure was announced and then returned top prouds

Best work place I’ve ever worked for they’re so supportive, supportive and professional but still make work a fun place to be. They have so much shifts to offer with opportunities to gain shifts at other locations and stores such as Prouds and Angus and coote honestly just such a good place to work 

Management is really poor. Employees not valued, you're just another number. No advancement, no recognition. 

Fun to meet new people day in day out but that's about it. 
Great as a casual job, not great in any way as a part-time or full-time job. Pay is horrible.

great place to work with bubbly staff to work along side with. always something new with client based work. the management was amazing always willing to work around our personal schedules. ive learnt great customer service through this company
