•	Support the “ZERO HARM” philosophy for site.
•	Provide Safety & Health training to all Yarwun 2 workers.
•	Conduct project assessment & reporting relating to Safety and Heath 
requirements for the Yarwun 2 project.
•	Develop, maintain and improve the Yar2 Safety & Health Management System.
•	Ensure Yarwun 2 Safety & Environmental plans are implemented and monitored as per the specification outlined by the client and other key stakeholders.
•	Ensure Yarwun 2 complies with and maintains the requirements of the AS/NZS 4801 & NSCA 5 Star qualification.
•	Implement, maintain and develop our client's safety systems to all applicable regulatory and legislative requirements, manage and develop safety policy and procedures, ensure that all clients employees and other relevant parties are periodically briefed on current and forthcoming safety issues, and any changes to safety systems, policies and procedures, and ensure statutory reporting and investigation of accidents and incidents,
•	Development and implementation of site training plan.
•	Training and Assessment for VOCs for Plant and other equipment.
•	Delivering inductions and onsite specific training programs for Health, Safety and other topics.
•	LTI free currently 1.5 million man hrs.

A typical day is , prestart , Radio on and it begins straight away and pretty consistant all day providing lifts at tunnels 1 - 4 and area 8 Laydown 
.
What l learned is not everyone has good communication skills and sometimes can find it frustrating but either way l try and make sure l keep them all happy and sometime l find if lm snowed under l have to prioritise which works well .

Managment has been great and back me up very well when it comes to maintanence or something that might be reqiuired when needed.

Co-Workers Well this bunch of Blokes lm working with would have to be a probably one of the best lot lve worked with and a great team .

The Hardest would definately be when the pressures on and everyone is calling me , but l just make sure the most important jobs in order are done first and all the in betweens come second and also eventually get done to.

Most enjoyable would have to be working with a good bunch of people and getting on well and carrying out our tasks and been acknowledged for our work ....and of course been the end of our shift and going home safe .

My job consisted of opening gates and breathalysing workers and customers as they came in, being able to talk about what the day might bring. I learnt that being in control of the site has a lot of duties such as what roads to take and how much care is involved while escorting, meeting new people and how to manage the site with care and communication. All workers communicate through 2 way radio or telephone. the hardest part of my job was to manage build up of traffic while escorting other vehicles to the site of where they have to go. The most enjoyable part of my job was the morning when I get to greet everyone at the gate and the afternoon when everyone get to go home, some workers take the time to stop and have a chat before they leave to go home and that is part of my job that I enjoy because we get to have a laugh and joke.

What is the best part of working at the company?
Always able to talk to supervisors ect. Always made to feel part of the team. Great work environment. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
long days , high productivity. Meeting goals.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Great company, really good work culture 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Many different roles, jobs. Can be shovelling dirt one minute , operating machinery the next . Alyssa busy.

i worked for Golding for over eight years at ensham it was a great company to work for and it was a shame the contract come to an end!, I functioned as a multi skilled operator operating Cat 16G/16H graders, Cat D9/D10 & D11 and Komatsu 375/475 dozers, Komatsu PC3000/PC4000 & Hitachi EX1200/EX2500 excavators, Komatsu PC5500 hydraulic shovel, and various rear dump trucks both electric and machenical drive, generally it was an enjoyable place to work.

My experience working with Golding Contractors was awesome,I learnt a lot of new skills while I was working there,making and erecting gabion baskets and mattresses,prep form work for v-drains,head walls and batter walls for shotcrete,installing hand rails.The days were 12hr days,so they were long and hot working in the heat,so you had to keep your fluids up.I met a lot of great people during my contract,and the leading hands were good to work under

Golding is a good company to work for, but lately have been missing out on some contracts that is effecting the outlook of the business , Since Golding sold to Champ investments I have noticed a decline in support for some operations, On the hole we are managing through these difficult times in contract mining

I found the people I worked with very good,nothing was a problem when it came to teaching me new skills.
It was a very enjoyable crew with a lot of knowledge between them.
Driving dump trucks would have to be the best job I have ever had, so most of the day was very enjoyable.
The hardest part was leaving after being made redundant.

I have spent a large part of my life working  for the late, Cyril Golding and through out my years  I have enjoyed all challenges appointed me, and look forward to my next

Good company to work for, in the right crew.Machinery inspections then repairs and servicing equipment.I learnt that the more effort you put in the better the results.Being away from family was the hardest thing about my job but i got great saticefaction out of working on the bigger equipment.
