A shift at Gilbert's usually consists of standing at the checkout and bagging up groceries for customers. It's an easy job once you remember all the different kinds of fruits and vegetables.Since the store is small, it can be busy at times but usually it's pretty relaxed. Working here is great opportunity for young people to get into the retail industry and gain some good experience from it.

Happy environment, good co-workers and very helpful, learnt the skills of the new electronic till system.

Not a good place at all to work in. The manager is verbally abusive to his employees and uses profanities in front of customers. Not professional at all and is a disgrace to society. OHS is the worst, I didn't even get shown emergency exits, first aid, fire extinguishers etc. Hazards all over the place.

had an amazing time working there. everyone so nice and friendly. all staff make you feel welcome and at no point do you ever feel unwelcome. fair break time and competitive salary.

was pretty good. didn't work there for long, just took part in training. I really enjoyed my time there and the other staff were very friendly made the training very enjoyable.

Great food and gave me knowledge of good customer service working the tills and heloing customers efficiently and productively great hours and friendky close knit team

I did enjoy my employment at Gilberts. I had issues with another worker which is why I ended my employment but management was good.

When you first start ask the manager what to do, you could be doing jobs from sweeping the floor, collecting trollies to packing and stacking fruit and vegetables.

Horrible pay, horrible boss. The work culture is toxic and overtime is expecpecterd but not rewarded. Rosters are always late and inconsistent, find somewhere else to work

Very nice and chill place to work. All the boys and mates and all the managers are very kind and understanding. It’s like one big family. Very inclusive and always felt comfortable and safe.
