The interview process took months to complete over multiple interviews where both panel members and myself were kept in the dark on expectations for the role. Additionally there was complete secrecy on the state of operations, no information was afforded to me due to both a lack of due diligence from the company to gather said information, their awareness of how bad things were in the department and reluctance to convey what they did know.

Once started there was a complete lack of onboarding or training and any attempts to request support were met with ineffective methods.

90% of the work day consisted of duplicate, redundant meetings with the need to work constant 12 hour days to make up for wasted time.

Senior management loved to instate bureaucracy and red tape preventing operations from running as smoothly as it could.

It's a company led by investment bankers or clinicians who have never worked in proper corporate organisations. They invest well in technology and in the clinics where patient care is fantastic. The management style is old school autocratic with impossible deadlines and a scary pride in working people around the clock with no recognition. Great Co for a consultant to charge excessive fees then exit quickly. Forget about this company is you are seeking a rewarding management career where your efforts are recognised. Apply here if you are a consultant who can hand hold leadership team. CEO is autocratic and as arrogant as your typical investment banker.

The people who do the actual work (face to face with patients) are overworked and exhausted. 
The people at the top issue work orders and produce useless and endless townhalls, newsletters, meetings, surveys and demands to change email signatures. It's froth and nobody has time for that. The gloss they make is dazzling. All image and no real care about safety or mental health.
This company wants to be efficient but can't see what they are doing wrong. Easier to make workers redundant or keep on contract than to stop and find where the real waste is coming from. Use a mirror.
Don't expect any perks or to be heard when you complain or make suggestions. It will fall on deaf ears. Get in, get trained, then leave before you go mad.

Company has great potential if it was managed like a proper healthcare organisation. The CEO is ex investment banker and creates a culture of fear and intimidation which most of the leadership team also take pride in adopting. The engagement levels are record low, very high turn over, team leaders come and go with no explanation why they leave suddenly. The impossible targets ultimately lead people to leave or go on stress leave. Absolutely no joy in working for a company that has such old school leadership team

There is constant pressure to deliver the impossible. This autocratic don't care what the issue is style comes from the CEO and the leadership team. Investment Co mentality from the 1990's. High turnover. Morale is rock bottom with most colleagues just trying to survive. No desire to develop peoples careers. It's a private investment company funded partly by a Chinese Govt controlled investment Co and an american investment firm. Not a pleasant environment to work.

I understand the bad reviews now. I always try to give places the benefit of the doubt, but trust the reviews. This many bad reviews can't be wrong and from my experience they sum it up. Poor training and onboarding, lack of fair leadership and management, terrible work/life balance and lack of accountability and transparency. It can hold you back if you have potential, work hard and have ideas, but leaving was the right choice. There are lots of opportunities with far more progressive companies.   

Company has grown very fast over the years due to well funded acquisition program but has struggled to grow organically partly due to leadership team more focused on pleasing the CEO rather than make commercially sound decisions. There are no best practice management norms in this company, it's old school become mates with the boss to get anywhere in the organisation. Their centres to treat cancer are second to none, great patient care for sure.

Company leaders take pride in running the company like a start up, except its the size of a small multi-national, this means there is no desire to develop people's careers or provide promotion opportunities. Process are not followed particularly when it comes to employees complaints about their treatment by their leaders. Lot's of management by fear and intimidation.

During my time at Genesis Care I picked up on more jobs as it was a bigger company with 100+ people. I was assigned many tasks such as handling parking, answering phone calls, booking couriers, handling mail, and many more. Being a receptionist, I had to learn to keep calm during stressful situations and teach myself to multi task while also keeping a smile on my face. I also worked closely with the company caterer and he taught me how to order food and set up for events and meetings.

Toxic management culture, very high staff turnover in head office with constant departure of short tenured talented people. Senior management not engaged with people in the business and appear driven by short term decisions and cost management. Poor leadership, the only saving grace in the company is good colleagues (if the stick around) and a genuine interest and focus on patient welfare in the clinics. I would not recommend as a place to work.
