I Arrived Ahead Of My Shift & Made Sure I Knew Which Bar/ Kiosk I Was Working At Within The Stadium, That Night Or Day!

I Was Always Given A Map, So I Knew Where About I Was To Go, Because I Was Still New!

I Learned Pretty Quickly You Had To Be Fast! And Careful, Once I Actually Turned Around In A Hurry & Actually Spilt A Drink On Another Staff Member! Of Course, I Apologised Straight Away!

There Where 3 Or 4 People Very Close Together, And Another Person Working The Till!, So You Had To Always Repeat Your Order,
So As Not To Make A Mistake And Waste The Alcohol!

The Co - Workers Were Very Nice & Friendly! I Really Enjoyed The Working Environment!

Getting Run Of Your Feet! Was Probably The Hardest Part Of The Job! Once The Half Time On For The Game, You Were Truly Run Off Your Feet!

The Most Enjoyable Part Of The Job Was The Friendly Atmosphere! The Staff Where All Nice! No One Was Really, Bossy As Such! The Management Where Very Professional & Friendly!

It is fast-paced, high turnover work, at various venues across Sydney area. It can be stressful at times, and there is not always documentation for procedure at some venues, you are dropped into the deep end at some shifts, and expected to figure it out, or receive verbal abuse, possibly resulting in less hours or none. There is high competition for regular shifts between the sport seasons. 

Gossip is rampant within the organisation, whereas a rumour can lose you a job if you are not liked by someone higher-up, alot of undercurrent mentality of say one thing, do another.

I probably won't work for them again. I worked at the drinks kiosk at Adelaide 500 on a 40 degree day. I had to take a taxi within the city to get there. I took a bus to the city. 

We had to walk 500m from the sign in area. As you can imagine it was very uncomfortable. You are paid from the time you start working and not from the sign in, waiting and walking time. I found this to be a rip off. 

The supervisor was not friendly at all. She hardly to spoke to me. It was awful having to bear the heat in non air-conditioning environment and the lack of conversation.

Very disorganized management. Constantly understaffed. Fairly unstable hours due to nature of footy season(s) and local annual events.

Some nice crew to work with during game days and events but always the same problem of not enough staff and lack of skilled staff. Very little support from management.
Minimal information, before and during events especially alterations and changes.

Very poorly run logistically. 

If you like headaches and being annoyed while having a laugh about it with fellow staff, this place is for you.

Gema is a good company for flexible casual work.
It is fast pace most of the time but quite funny.
Most of the staff are collaborative and friendly.
In general, it is a good place to learn about hospitality.

There’s always a few miscommunications here and there with the HR team. Sometimes we would have staff that wouldn’t know their alcohol but it is all a learning experience. It is a very fast paced environment but can also be fun like youre in a video game. Of course, you’ll get grumpy customers but no biggy.

Worked in retail for food and clothes.
Gained experience with cash handling, selling, cleaning, teamwork, customer service, preparation and time management.

Thoroughly love working for Gemma. Regular work with fun crew. Notification and acceptance of shifts is a simple process. Wages  processing is very prompt.

Amazing job for people with other jobs / studying full time. Flexibility and pay was amazing. Just not viable as an only job, as work opportunities dry up at certain times of the year.
